dust

A beloved warrior

or the king

People went to great lengths to bury him with his treasure ship

And buried a lot of jewelry

Praying that they will last forever

However, in the not too distant future

they are forgotten

completely forgotten

Modern man a thousand years later

another gang

Can't remember them at all

Only rely on science and excavation

to guess who they are

to speculate on their age

They are completely forgotten like dust

together with kings, warriors and even entire eras

Dark Ages

Think of them as dumb-minded savages

until he and his warship were dug up

And those gems

Intricately engraved on it

The savages of the dark ages knew beauty

they trade in currency

he loves it or hates it

live like us

no more or less

The plane roared over us

A thousand years from now we will go to another war

no treasure ship

Treasures without elaborate decorations accompany them

Only rotten pens or notebooks

Decayed fighter jet sunk at the bottom of the river

What will people think of us in a thousand years?

Impossible to really understand us

Maybe we too will be treated as savages in the Dark Ages

stupid

but nothing matters

Because we and the earth are just dust

no eternity and immortality

will be forgotten sooner or later

Maybe it's all just a ridiculous fantasy

everything is not worth

dead husband

dying woman

man going to be a soldier

A child who longs to know the whole universe

cloudy starry sky

war starts again

People's delicate minds are still calculating

Whose pocket does the unearthed treasure fall into?

how boring and empty

In the dust of the world

I'd rather love and hate

The Dig quotes

  • Basil Brown: Robert, we all fail. Every day. There are some things we just can't succeed at no matter how hard we try. I know it's not what you want to hear.

  • Basil Brown: Mark my words May. I won't receive any credit. I won't even be a footnote.
