In fact, this is the second time for me to watch this drama. When it first aired, it was the summer vacation of 2019. I was an intern in a PR fashion agency in China. Since I don't have HBO either, I just found it on a site and watched it during those idle days. Look furtively. As a result, the viewing experience is not particularly good, the computer is quite old, and the video quality of the video website is very poor. So my impression of this TV series is that every time I see it, my head is dizzy, and the colors are many and many and often turn around. Everyone was fked up. At that time, an American girl in our office said that this is actually a real American public school, not the perfect sunshine in our minds. I remember this line until now and now the second season is out. 2022 (actually 2 and a half years, time flies so fast)
Now that the second season is out, I also have HBO, and I replayed it again, and this time I found that each character was really well-drawn, each one was well-characterized, and everyone had their own personality. This time I look at the world with their eyes. They are only 17 years old and they have to go through so many things, and at that age, it is easy to think that there is only one left in the world, and there are many exaggerated ideas. The feelings will be more profound, so none of them escape mental health issues. Every time I see a person doing anything, I think, hey, here again, these children are really not very safe. Not very stable either. When I thought everything was going to be fine, I would really feel broken down later, the powerlessness was profound. It can only be said that the influence of the original family is seen on each child, as well as the influence of the people around.
In fact, my favorite character is Lexi. Personally, I prefer this kind of girl. She doesn't do things very dramatic, and she tries her best. Although she is a good girl, she walks steadily step by step. Will want to indulge occasionally and hang out with friends, but not be led by the nose. Speaking of my favorite male character, Fezco, he's really the most charismatic and responsible guy. The other ones are simply incomparable. They never give up on Rue and protect her and her friends at all times. Who would reject a boy who can do everything for the man he believes in. So when Nate provokes him, I can't wait to break Nate's head off. This boy really has all the bad intentions, not only bad intentions, but also scheming. No one in the whole play is more scheming than him. To put it mildly, he wants to protect Maddy, but in fact, his control is no longer there, so he needs to do extreme things. In fact, it has a lot to do with his father's education (this is really ironic).
I think soso's characters should be those girls. Rue's words are too sensitive. Since childhood, it has nothing to do with family, and she is willing to fall because she has no choice. Every time I see her fall again, I feel very distressed. I really just want a redemption. Fortunately, she has family and friends who love her. Jules is so special! do not! Can! Love! That's what a beautiful girl should feel like! (Thinking of fez's first description of her she was all sailor moon) Very apt. Dare to love and dare to be, sometimes weak and sometimes want to escape, but often very confused. The child is just past adolescence with a lot of instability. But I still don't like her enough. Cassie can only say that she is the kind of person who is in love and can't control herself. The girl is really kind-hearted, but she has no sense of city. It hurts to see her being puaed by others. The child obviously loves her the most. Kat, hey, I chose it myself, I just let myself go. Everyone else probably did the same. But a lot of times I feel like it's a bit too much, and the things on that website always make me feel shaky, the most terrifying thing in the whole show! Finally, Maddy is a very attractive girl who knows she is attractive. I like to see her dancing on the dance floor the most, and I don't like the way she is humbled for love. You deserve better. A lot of times people talk about how confident Maddy is, but I actually think she has her own little inferiority complex like everyone else in this show. So this drama is very real, everyone is very satisfied, there are advantages and disadvantages, both positive and negative. Fortunately, stories often analyze things from all angles so we can see the whole picture.
In the end, Nate appeared once and wanted to hit someone once. I really thought he really liked Jules, but in the end it was just a routine. But I think he's actually suppressing the idea that he might like Jules because he cares about her. No matter what, he is a scumbag and can't control himself.
I still haven't figured out what the role of that NA uncle is.
The music is so well suited to the occasion, and every time any music appears, I will be pleasantly surprised, especially the theme song all for us, which has a magic power, as if I am living a decadent life that is about to collapse like them. (Actually one of the producers is drake and thinks he can't go wrong.)
