I wanted to yell at it, but I couldn't stop giving it 5 stars. The confusion of teenagers is a topic that can never be avoided on the way to growth. Compared with "Sex Education", the American middle-class prodigal "Excitement" is more exaggerated and explicit in terms of sex, love, and poison. Can't help but think, are the teenagers and girls in the movie who escape reality through drugs and get drunk in neon lights and house parties really exist? If the answer is yes, for those East Asian teenagers who have been living in sexual repression for a long time and dedicate their pro-puberty period to exam after exam, how do they feel after reading this debauched and bizarre story. Putting aside realistic thinking for a moment, the film depicts the group portraits of American girls who dare to love, dare to hate, gentle, powerful, vulnerable and sensitive at the same time. Admiration and envy; however, when they accidentally and inevitably fall into the trap of love, trapped in the trap of happiness, I find them lovely and feel sorry for them.
In addition to the brilliant group portraits, the movie's setting of the story line and the control of the rhythm are also amazing.
With the close-up of the teenager's face under the deep-focus lens: the tight and slightly acne-prone face is fully revealed in the picture, and the uncontrollable and insufferable excitement as the story goes deeper, renders our emotions bit by bit. , I feel the anxiety that fills the hearts of every character, the expectations for the future, the repression of the past, the anger hidden in the eyes, and the uncontrollable tears.
At the same time, the focus of the lens is often focused on marriage and divorce, control and being controlled, drug trafficking and drug use and other activities. The scale of this part is too large, so I won't go into details here.
All in all, this is one of the crazier and scarier teen movies I've ever seen. While feeling the horror and fear of the deep-rooted content in the movie, at the same time, I can't help but want to know the story behind. Paired with upgraded slow-motion footage and explosive classic rock music, it seems to bring an indescribable journey on a psychedelic drug.
