What did we do to Bronson?

I seem to have a special talent for fighting dull movies. I stopped watching this movie about three to four times before I finished watching it. Of course, this is my personal habit, unless it is a particularly good movie I will see the end in one go.

This "Bronson" may be adapted from real events, but the meaning it wants to convey is rather vague and obscure. When making an artistic creation, false things can often express the meaning accurately, because both the progress of the event and the actions of the characters in it are all directed towards this meaning. The director (or the writer) can set many things to achieve his own intentions. They became a creator, roaming freely in their own world.

In reality, meaning is the most difficult to highlight. They are hidden in every action, every sentence, a look in the eyes, and even a stranger passing by inadvertently... and this inadvertent meaning may have to wait a long time. Only then will some clues emerge slowly. We have to gradually collect these fragments of meaning scattered everywhere, sweating profusely for years of piecing together. In the process, we are disappointed and even desperate, and we begin to swear. Even so, the meaning of our entire children's lives may not necessarily appear in the end. In the past two years, I have been dumped in the garbage dump of meaning (and I am now.), in the trivial connection of reality, I have been frantically searching for meaning, but I have not been able to find it. Gradually, I realize that maybe reality There is no meaning in itself, or maybe it is because there are too many meanings in our lives. On the contrary, we don't realize it.

In the modern society with rapid development of science and technology, the bombardment of information and the impact of material desire have wiped out these small meanings. These things are fast, convenient, simple, and possess a rebellious temperament for a religion. They push us faster and faster, so that we have no time to pay attention to the people and things around us. The individual's sense of existence is getting smaller and smaller, and it becomes more and more insignificant.

We are eager to be noticed by everyone and win our own sense of existence and value. The only way to get this attention is famous, and Bronson is one of those who wants to be famous.

What is the fastest way to become famous (or get attention)? It's not painting or writing. These things are always going too slowly and too slowly. You have to have enough patience to achieve it.

In fact, the fastest way is nothing more than two: one is grandstanding, and the other is crime. These two behaviors distinguish you from all living beings, and you jump out, like a marble, rolling down to the ground alone.

Bronson chose the latter-crime. He has a good family, no growing up puzzles, and he was married and had a child. There is no possibility of him committing a crime. It can only be said that he is not satisfied with his daily life. Although the process of his robbery and other crimes is terrible, the results are ridiculous. He is a qualified comedian (I admit that he did it). He has embarked on this road conscientiously all his life, but he is not ridiculous.

He is a comedian, but he is not ridiculous.

He staged one show after another, facing a crowd of audiences he couldn't see. To prove his existence, when someone discovered his artistic talent (this surprised me.) He stood at a crossroads leading to attention, did he continue to commit crimes to attract attention or through art? He gave up art without hesitation. He needs a faster and more powerful impact to express himself. When he dropped the man who discovered his talents to the ground, he won a wave of unstoppable applause. (On the illusory stage with him as the protagonist.) And when he was immersed in art, he didn't respond. Maybe it wasn't that there was no response. He had an audience, (the one who found him.) But there were too few, just one. This is far from enough.

In fact, is his choice correct? The irony is that he is correct, and the appearance of this movie is a good proof. If he had chosen art at that time, he would certainly not be as widely known as it is now. May eventually become a third-rate artist. Of course, success in art is not necessarily true. We can only say that from now on, his choice at the time was not wrong. He achieved his goal and became famous.

I remember in a movie, a black humorous film about the Iraq War, a terrorist organization officer asked an American soldier: What happened to you Mike Jackson? How did it become like that? And here I want to ask, what have we done to Bronson? What happened to Bronson for all of us? Or to ask, what has happened to us in this world? How could it become like this? The human sense of existence is so indifferent. Only through such extreme methods can the individual's existence be highlighted. Someone will pay attention to themselves.

Perhaps this is what this movie wants to reflect, that is, sad and heavy, but helpless. In a society that keeps getting faster and faster, should we think about starting to slow down? Should technology stop for a while? Fast is forgetting. When we are walking, we will unconsciously go slower and slower when we think about something, but when we want to forget one thing, we go faster and faster. In high-speed driving, we don’t think about anything. Yes, speed has taken our thoughts away.

If you want to find your own existence and find meaning, you have to slow down.

Slow down.
