English lines and personal perception

The biggest inspiration for me from the movie is 3 questions:

1. Why practice? Because of mental pain and emptiness.

2. What is the goal of practice? Spiritual freedom and abundance!

3. How to practice? Everything can be practiced. Get rid of distractions and live in the moment.

English lines and personal insights (in chronological order):

But knowledge is not the same as wisdom.

Wisdom is doing it.

Just know it doesn't work, do it.

Are you happy?

What does happy have to do with anything?

Everything.

are you happy?

Happiness is having hope for the future and enjoying the present.

The present is good times and naturally happy. If there is adversity, then you can learn a lot and naturally be happy. Therefore, there is only happiness in the present.

After all, it's heaven!

If you don't make the Olympic team, what will you do?

What if the goal is not met?

Set another one, and you can always find a goal that matches your heart.

With the North Star as your guide, all that's left is to enjoy the moment every step of the way.

I'd say maybe you're still asleep.

You can live a whole lifetime without ever being awake.

The biggest problem with living in a daze is feeling inexplicably empty.

So I still like to have a purposeful and fulfilling life, which is called awake.

There's no higher purpose.

Than pumping gas?

Service to others.

Is there no higher purpose than serving others?

This is the ultimate state, and the steps are: take care of yourself first, then take care of your family, and then others.

She live around here?

She related to you or something?

You need to start asking better questions.

Ask advanced questions to get advanced answers and live an advanced life.

Slow down.

You might taste something.

Why in such a hurry? Going to give birth?

Slow down to appreciate life and enjoy life.

Don't be like Zhu Bajie, eat too fast, good ginseng fruit, but no taste.

You practice gymnastics.

I practice everything.

Everything is a practice.

What is the goal of meditation? Spiritual freedom and abundance!

Everyone tells you what to do and what's good for you.

They don't want you to find your own answers.

They want you to believe theirs.

I want you to stop gathering information from outside yourself

and start gathering it from the inside.

People are afraid of what's inside,

and that's the only place they're ever gonna find what they need.

Only by following your true inner voice can you gain true spiritual satisfaction.

Why can't you sleep?

Is it because, maybe, late at night, when all the noise dies down and you're lying there in the bed,

and there's nobody around but you, then, maybe, you get a little scared?

Scared because suddenly everything feels so empty.

Can't sleep because of emptiness? See the previous one.

You tell me you wanna be someone who uses his mind and his body in ways that most people would never have the courage to, and I will train you, Dan, to be a real warrior.

A true warrior, is he cultivating his body and mind to the extreme?

People are not their thoughts.

They think they are and it brings them all kinds of sadness.

I'm not what I think?

The mind is just a reflex organ.

It reacts to everything.

Fills your head with millions of random thoughts a day.

None of those thoughts reveal any more about you than a freckle does at the end of your nose.

The brain responds to the outside world every day and generates countless ideas, which are useless.

What matters is what your heart really thinks.

Did you notice how the right leverage can be very effective?

What if I were to tell you that's what your training, even your life, is about?

Developing the wisdom to apply the right leverage in the right place, at the right time.

The wisdom of life is to use leverage in the right place and at the right time.

A gentleman's birth (nature) is not different, and he is good at things.

As in the stock market, stock selection, timing.

Take out the trash.

The trash is up here.

That's the first part of your training, learning to throw out everything you don't need in here.

You said you were in a hurry.

So you pushed me off the bridge?

I emptied your mind.

The present.

Devoted 100% to the experience you were having.

You're out of your mind. You know that?

It's taken a lifetime of practice.

We want you out of your mind, too, Dan.

You weren't paying attention.

Even now you're not.

Your mind's filling up again.

You're missing out on everything that's going on.

Take out the trash, Dan.

The trash is anything that is keeping you from the only thing that matters,

this moment. Here. Now.

And when you truly are in the here and now, you'll be amazed at what you can do

and how well you can do it.

I used it.

I took out the trash,

You know, I wasn't worried about what did happen, or what might happen, what could happen.

I just got up there and I cleared my mind.

And I was flawless.

How long did you stay that way, clear and flawless?

"I demolished that guy. You should have seen me."

You're in the past. Gloating.

You're not in the now, living.

You haven't learned anything.

Empty the rubbish in your head and focus on the here and now.

Get rid of distractions and live in the moment.

Sometimes you have to lose your mind before you come to your senses.

To break through the previous prejudice, in order to obtain the truth.

When you become a warrior, you learn to meditate in every action.

Scrubbing toilets?

Letting go of attachments. Like your pride.

Giving up your addictions.

Everything is a practice.

Get rid of all restraints, self-esteem, hobbies. . .

First realization of a warrior.

What is?

Not knowing.

The only thing I know is that I know nothing.

Emotions are natural, like the passing weather.

Emotions, like the weather, are normal.

Everything has a purpose, Dan, even this.

And it's up to you to find it.

Everything is practice, practice in everything.

Your training can now move to a new arena, an arena where you find your answers from within.

There are no ordinary moments.

There are no ordinary moments, every moment is precious.

Because every moment is practicing, it is a fulfilling heart, and every moment's heart is heading towards freedom and abundance.

You will never be better.

Same way you'll never be less than anybody else.

Everyone is unique, it doesn't matter who is superior or inferior;

Comparing with others is boring, and your inner wealth is the ultimate meaning.

Death isn't sad.

The sad thing is most people don't live at all.

It's a pity to die, it's a pity that it never lived.

So the old white awake of Breaking Bad, really lived a life, it was worth it.

Took for granted what I could do.

I was sloppy with my life.

I'm scared, but

I feel like I got rid of all the old stuff, and... I think it was the right thing to do.

When you feel fear, use the sword.

Take it up here and cut the mind to ribbons.

Slash through all those regrets and fears and anything else that lives in the past or the future.

It is terrifying to tear down and start over;

But the previous buildings were built on sand and were destined to not last long;

Now start building a new building on solid ground and imagine what it will look like.

You will no longer be afraid of fear, your spirit will be strong, free and rich.

A warrior does not give up what he loves, Dan.

He finds the love in what he does.

A warrior is not about perfection or victory or invulnerability.

He's about absolute vulnerability.

That's the only true courage.

The true courage of a warrior is to do what he loves when he is absolutely vulnerable.

Although there are thousands of people, I will go.

The accident is your training.

Life is choice.

You can choose to be a victim or anything else you'd like to be.

Just ignore what happened to me?

A warrior acts.

Only a fool reacts.

What if I can't do it?

That's the future. Throw it out.

Well, how would we start?

There is no starting or stopping, only doing.

Everything is a practice.

Warriors choose to take the initiative to face it, live in the moment, and keep doing it.

Nearly all of humanity shares your predicament, Dan.

If you don't get what you want, you suffer.

And even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer

because you can't hold onto it forever.

People are like this, if you don't get it, you will suffer if you get it, because you can't have it forever.

But if what you are after is spiritual freedom and abundance, then you are always after, never lost, how can there be pain?

The gold is a craving.

"If only I had it, I'd be happy."

When I get that thing, I'll be happy.

Don't lie to yourself, not getting, suffering, getting, boring; because you're after the wrong thing.

What is really worth pursuing is not money or women, but spiritual freedom and abundance.

You don't surrender your dreams, Dan.

You surrender the one thing you never have and you never will, control.

Accept that you don't control what will happen to you.

That you may or you may not compete in the Olympics.

That you may or you may not, Dan.

And that you are something exceptional either way.

The moon is cloudy and sunny, and the people have joys and sorrows. This is difficult to complete.

People have bad luck and good fortune, which are out of control.

But whether it is a blessing or a curse, you can practice from it and become a better version of yourself.

Chasing gold?

Living in fear that you might fail?

That's what you love about it?

Pursue material, worry about gain and loss? This life is really boring.

Life has just three rules?

Paradox, humor and change.

Paradox.

Life is a mystery.

Don't waste time trying to figure it out.

Humor.

Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself.

It is a strength beyond all measure.

Change.

Know that nothing stays the same.

Three principles of life, contradiction, humor and change.

Life is contradictory and unknowable, don't bother to research, really?

I still believe that things have laws and that laws can be mastered.

Laughter is for life, I agree; humor is a manifestation of inner strength.

Change, everything is impermanent, yes, but it is nothing more than the transformation of blessings and disasters, it depends on how to deal with it; blessings come to enjoy, and disasters come to learn, how can there be no reason to be unhappy?

I probably should have told you that before we left, huh?

But I guess I wasn't sure what we'd find, either.

Never am.

The journey's what brings us happiness not the destination.

Going forward to the goal, no one knows what the end will get? Maybe it's a stone.

Maybe I sow dragon seeds and reap fleas.

But what does that matter. The important thing is that happiness has been harvested in the process. If you find that it is not good at the end, just set a new end.

What you need is the direction of the compass. As for the foothold in the mountains 100 kilometers south, the scenery is not satisfactory;

Or settle in the ancient temple 200 kilometers south, it is very quiet and comfortable, and it is not that important; it is right to go to the south.

Just getting rid of all that bullshit you have up in your head,

tells you you might not be enough.

So when you get up there,

you make every move about the move.

All right?

Not about the gold.

Not about what your dad thinks about you.

Not about anything but that one moment in time.

Get rid of distractions and live in the moment.

Where are you, Dan? Here.

What time is it? Now.

What are you? This moment.

This time, here.
