The overall logic of the film is general, leaving a lot of questions for the audience. But after careful experience, the film actually conveys the truth of life from several aspects.
1. Self-worth.
People are always dissatisfied, especially unwilling to be mediocre. They think they can make a difference. When they are not satisfied with the status quo, they are easy to become decadent. As everyone knows, the realization of this value requires "increment", and the happiness that we have now must not be lost because of dissatisfaction with desires. In the film, the male protagonist travels through the future to learn about his subsequent life, abandoning his wife and daughter, and in the end his originally happy life is gone. This is the biggest foreshadowing when the male protagonist does not get the ideal job at the beginning of the film and vents on the trash can.
2. Love is priceless
The main line of the film's story is still about family love, including the hero's battles with monsters for the continuation of his daughter's future life, and the hero's father's relentless determination when his son asks for help. If the child's life is in danger, most parents are willing to sacrifice themselves if there is an exchange.
3. American politicians
What impressed me more was that when the male protagonist team went to Russia to look for monsters to inject toxins, and then save all mankind and needed help, the Minister of Defense refused on the grounds that he could not take the risk with taxpayer money. After the male protagonist went through untold hardships to kill the monster and save all mankind, the Minister of Defense announced in the news that it was arranged by him for the first time. This stark contrast is thought-provoking.
The above are a few knowledge points that can be obtained after watching the video. On the other hand, looking at the whole film, the deep meaning I want to express is not complete, there are not many places for people to think about, and more of it is attracted by the fight with monsters, so it will not be a good film.
