After watching it, I found out that it was directed by David Lynch. This is my favorite and most moving movie in 2021. It is simply recorded, plain, simple, sincere, and makes people cry and laugh.
Recently, my back has pain and mouth ulcers. I can't move freely. I even eat like an old man. This made me take the role of Uncle Shi at the beginning. I still have problems with my body in my 70s, and I usually need to lean on two crutches. How dare you drive a lawnmower alone to meet my brother who has a stroke so far away.
When Uncle Shi was driving the lawn mower down a steep slope, the brakes suddenly lost control, and I was also nervous, and my heart beat faster. I knew it was a movie, and the director would not let Uncle Shi just hang up like this, but I was still worried o(╯□╰) o
Uncle Shi foresaw all kinds of people along the way, and every time we talked, we got to know Uncle a little more. He has a daughter who is considered "sluggish" by others. He has not had contact with his younger brother for more than ten years. A veteran who has been on the battlefield, he accidentally killed his comrade-in-arms, he is in pain, he regrets, and he is uneasy.
Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and I’ve looked away. Every time the uncle talks with strangers, he is philosophical in his sincerity. It is a reflection and relief of his own soul, a healing and redemption for others, and a reminder to everyone in front of the screen. .
At the end of the movie, Uncle Shi and his younger brother were sitting in front of the dilapidated hut. The two old people sat quietly.
Reminds me of a passage I saw a few days ago, to the effect:
When we look at this society sideways, we are proud that we live in a peaceful country and we are number two in the world. However, when we look at this era vertically, each individual person is also important.
Everyone has only one life, everyone has only one life, we are all toiling for our own life, our love and hatred, in the context of the entire era, is just a small wave, but it will really It's heart-wrenching when it falls on everyone.
When we stand in the distance and high places, we can certainly see the magnificent river in the distance, but when we are in the depths of the crowd, do we know where we are in the depths?
Hope everyone can find their place.
