I randomly click on a software for watching movies, but I can't find a movie to watch for the time being. I found "The Battle of Tomorrow" on the hot search list. The protagonist, Foster, was erudite but unlucky, and didn't get the job he wanted. I went home to watch football with my daughter and wife. On the verge of scoring a goal, a team from the next three decades suddenly descended on the field, preventing the game from continuing. It turns out that in the future, there will be a monster named "White Thorn Monster". It was a white monster with legs, tentacles, and a weird head. Their antennae are similar to those of an octopus and are extremely aggressive. Humans are the food they need. Humans' combat power is insufficient, and there are only more than half a million humans left in the world, so they used the time-space teleportation system to go back thirty years ago and ask for help from people in the past. So the whole world is on alert, and all qualified people are hired to support the battle between humans and monsters 30 years later through time and space teleportation.
Foster once joined the army and has certain combat and guidance capabilities. When Foster and others arrived, all the scientific research team died. The commander ordered Foster to take back the research results. After many difficulties and surrounded by white thorns, only Foster and the other two survived. And they were taken to another place. There, Foster met the commander again, who turned out to be Foster's grown-up daughter, Murray Foster. As a father who cares about his daughter, Foster decides to help his daughter research the toxins against the white thorns together. It turned out that Muri had already developed a toxin that attacked male beasts, but because the detoxification mechanism of female beasts was better than that of male beasts, the original toxin could not kill female beasts. Due to the urgency of time, Murray decided to develop a new toxin and let Foster bring it back thirty years ago to mass-produce it to fight the white thorns. After finally developing toxins, the research base was surrounded by white thorns. Those white thorns are coming to rescue the captured female beast. In an extremely critical situation, Muri activated the time and space teleportation, preparing to bring Foster and the potion back thirty years ago. The white thorns kept attacking, and Muri was accidentally injured. Foster wanted to save Murray, but Muri was dragged by the white thorns and fell into the group of white thorns. Foster jumped to catch Murray, But teleported back to thirty years ago in midair. After returning to Foster and his sadness, in his wife's solution, he decided to destroy the white thorn monster before the white thorn monster appeared, in order to save his daughter and save the world.
The whole movie is about a father's love for his daughter, which is very moving. Foster's father also participated in the war that year, and the post-war syndrome made him choose to leave Foster's mother and son. At the end of the film, Foster solved the grievances and misunderstandings with his father. From this we can see the greatness of the father's love and the brilliance of human nature. Foster's father does not appear in many plots, but it can also let the audience see his father's love for the Foster family, especially for Murray. Because he often secretly sends greeting cards to Murray. And Foster loves his daughter even more and teaches her well. She is not vexatious, understands her parents, and takes care of them. When her father couldn't find a job, she comforted him: everything will be fine. When her father went to war, she made greeting cards at home and waited for her father's return. These are all very moving points.
However, "Tomorrow's War" is not without its slots. Leaving aside the temporal logic and narrative logic. Regarding the appearance of the white thorn monster, the movie said that it first appeared in Russia, but the Russian satellite and positioning did not find any trace of the white thorn monster, so that the white thorn monster spread all over the world later. It is hard for us not to say that this is to subtly say the fault of other countries in the movie. When Foster and his comrade-in-arms took the white thorn teeth for examination, the movie mentioned that the white thorn teeth contained volcanic mud from the Changbai Mountains in China. It is tantamount to saying that these monsters are volcanoes from China or that these monsters have lived in China. Although it's just a movie, I don't have to take it so seriously, but as a Chinese, seeing these clips and remarks, my heart is extremely uncomfortable. Isn't this just a step? To save the world with American feelings and spirit, in contrast, it has to trample on other countries.
The fatherly love and feelings of family and country in "Battle of Tomorrow" are appreciated, but this kind of "pulling and stepping" is also unpleasant!
