Josef's favorite saying is, Forever is a long time. Just because you can live forever, you can't make promises. Because that time limit can only be forever. And forever, few people can afford it.
What does immortality feel like. A certain philosopher said that if there was no death, human society would be completely different. In the legend, eternal life is God's curse on Dracula, and there is a darkness that can never see the light.
A vampire who has lived for too long carries too many memories. They witness history, they are history itself. Powerful and fragile. The fatal thing is that there can be no love. Either with humans, or with vampires.
Is eternity the killer of love? Didn't we always say that eternity is the end of love?
Josef met Lisa, he said, and even felt that he had lived as a vampire for hundreds of years just to meet her. However, love, the universe hasn't planned it for him.
The eternal tragedy of vampires. That kind of grand wound, a love that was doomed from the very beginning.
So did Mick and Beth. Struggle again and again, try hard. And everything came to nothing when the sun rose. However, the one who was afraid was not Beth, but Mick. So he kept backing away. He said to think about it. Beth said, be quick, because you have eternity and I don't.
It never occurred to me that immortality would become a way out.
I have always felt that in a vampire-themed drama, the background must be grand, the leading role must be pale and noble, the scene must be dark and beautiful, and the love must be earth-shattering. This drama has all the elements it should have, but unfortunately the ratings are not high, and the only blame is the screenwriter's weak ability to grasp the story line.
Favorite scene, one is the amusement park fight at the end of episode 5. The environment where memories and reality are intertwined, heavy rock, and the corners of the black trench coat are flying. The other is Beth's confession at the end of episode eight, the sun rising, that light kiss. The background music played, it was The kin's Together. "Have you seen the sign? Can we walk this line together". It hurts, the kind of fatal pain. (I'm such a vulgar surging person)
PS: At the end of the season, I saw those entanglements, I saw those memories that cast shadows, I saw Mick walking in the sun for a few days, and I saw his tears. Just when I felt that the screenwriter was gradually on the road, the first season came to an abrupt end. Then the news was that the second season was axed! HLL to tears~~~
