About the fish, the part I didn't think about

In general, I like it very much. I took the baby to watch it, and the little friends also like it very much. There is just one place that I don't think I fully understand.

At the beginning of the film, Luca was skating fish, and saw the ship on the bottom of the sea protecting the fish and not being caught by the land monsters.

But after landing on land, I helped Julia's father, a human, catch a large boat full of fish. This change was a bit unexpected. Could it be that I missed a part?

Anyone who understands, can answer...

The misunderstanding of homosexuality is rather narrow, and it must be the intention of the creators to lead to thinking about minority issues through friendship. Taking a step back, you don't have to be strict with high standards in all aspects because it is produced by Pixar. Even if you don't care about the core, this is a very warm family movie, suitable for watching with anyone.

I like the imaginative fantasy clips, the episodes in which Luka subconsciously betrayed him in order to protect himself after Alberto "came out", and the big reconciliation between "heterogeneous" and "non-heterogeneous" at the end. This fairy tale is very politically correct, and political correctness is also quite a fairy tale, but it would be great if a minority of nature could live in such a politically correct fairy tale.

Luca quotes

  • Giulia: You know, we underdogs have to look out for each other, right?

Alberto Scorfano: What's, "under the dog's"?

Giulia: Under-dogs. You know, kids who are different. Dressed weird, or a little sweatier than average.

  • Massimo Marcovaldo: You two are coming with me.

Alberto Scorfano: Which knife do I get? Huh? Huh?

    Massimo Marcovaldo: You don't.
