"Old Age": The setting is amazing, the expression is so-so

Shyamalan's films always have a well-conceived setting, and then narrate in a thriller and suspenseful way, even a horror way, but the quality of the narration is good and bad, very unstable. The same is true for the ending. Perhaps the ending of "The Sixth Sense" is too shocking and unexpected, making it difficult for his subsequent films to reach this level. The ending of "The Undead" is very general, and there is nothing particularly unexpected. As expected, the word of mouth of Shyamalan's previous work "Visit the Horror" is still good, and it has rebounded, but this "Old" has Feeling of decline.

"Aging" has a very attractive setting, which is the mysterious seaside beach, a beach where time can pass quickly. People on this beach are like passing years, children grow rapidly, adults grow old quickly, It became impossible to leave this beach. If you want to go back the same way, you will faint, wake up still on the beach, and if you want to go out from the sea, you will drown in the sea. Anyway, let you go back and forth. This is the case with the protagonist's family. They are trapped on the beach with the other two families, not only to fight against time, but also to beware of despair disturbing people's hearts and inspiring the dark side of human nature. The two children of the host family grew up rapidly, and the younger brother also had a baby with another family's daughter in puppy love. They desperately tried to escape, but they failed again and again. In the end, whether they could escape or not became the biggest suspense. . There is a certain horror element to the whole process, and there are some scenes that are quite bluffing, but there are still some loopholes in the details. The film's episodes use a reversal that doesn't work very well, and parts of the reversal are easily guessable and create some tiny holes. In general, Shyamalan has put in a little effort in the direction of writing and directing, from which we can see his efforts. The film is still to watch, and I hope that the next film will make regular progress.
