Thriller, disappointed with "wife"

Fortunately, on the day I watched the film at IU cinema, IU invited the real protagonist of the film, lawyer Robert bilott himself, to come to the scene to open the film. This set an important tone for my film viewing process, that is, in the film All the stories told are real events that happened not long ago. Cows that went mad with poisoning, small town residents who died of cancer due to chemicals, and babies with deformed facial features. Behind them are not thin pen and ink, but palpable graves , and painful families. The survivors and victims of them are still alive today, and even this catastrophe has not yet become a thing of the past in their hearts. One of the labels of this film is "thrill", and I felt a little bit when I watched it for the first time. The details are convoluted, and in hindsight, the townspeople who have been poisoned and the lawyers who have discovered the truth bit by bit feel shivering. The most important thing in the world is probably the people who have lost their conscience for the sake of profit, because they are more unpredictable than the devil.

The only downfall may be the lawyer's wife in the film, a typical knowledgeable wife who is often hysterical because her husband cares about his career rather than his family. These directors and screenwriters imagine wives who put family first Never understand her husband's career and ideals, or they can only see it from a worldly perspective. But in the end, these wives will be moved by her husband's persistence, stand with him at a critical time, and defend him. They almost bought it. A kind of "ordinary and great" wife image, but it happened that I watched two movies in a row in the past two weeks, minari and black water, and I was surprised that these two wives came out of a training camp. It happened more than ten years ago, but after all, it was a movie made around 2020. The image of my wife is still so thin and a tool person, I am a little disappointed.
