The college head teacher asked to watch a movie every week and write about it. "Underground" is the third part of this mission list. I finished it two days ago and liked it a lot, but I don't know where to start. I don't want to write political metaphors because I don't understand! Finally, I was forced to write it by the last ddl. Unexpectedly, I quite like the perspective I discovered.
——Feelings from watching "Underground"
Accompanied by the bright tone of the trumpet, the brass band's witty tunes played many times, and the whole film unfolded in an extremely absurd and playful way, breaking my expectations that it would be a serious historical film. It even gave me the feeling of watching comedians perform on stage. The first shot of the opening chapter takes the wall as the background, and the shadows of people and carriages flashed past one after another, as if a shadow puppet show was being staged, but the intense gongs and drums were replaced by brass pipes in unison. I feel that the story in the movie is like a good show being staged.
The whole movie made me feel the perspective of watching and being watched on four levels. The first level is where Mark sees the people in the basement and what he hides from them in the movie. It is the observation and manipulation of us by those who stand at the top of the chain of communication, and the fourth layer is the different opinions and disagreements about the history of future generations. In these four levels of viewing and being viewed perspectives, the viewers themselves have the advantages brought about by the omniscient perspective, just like a multi-dimensional space, “low-dimensional-high-dimensional” is surrounded by a ring.
The basement in this film is very much like a world that can be observed in a glass vessel. The observer can manipulate this world at any time, even if it is a time that is recognized as objective and unchangeable, it can be silently changed. "disappears" between voices. The people who live in it are contented and enthusiastic, and they have no doubts about everything around them. The reasons for this are, on the one hand, the ignorance brought about by fanaticism and the unconscious numbness of the group, and on the other hand, it is because The rich mantle that the controller puts on. In the film, whenever the alarm in the basement goes off, Marco will first sing a leisurely female voice to cover up the big lie he has laid. People on the ground are subdued by Marco's brave and fearless hero's skin, and people on the ground are grateful for the image of the savior who sacrificed Marco. A liar, through his superb tricks, let everyone around him fall into his own trap, this is What an ironic, absurd thing. As an audience, I watched the whole movie as a god who watched jokes, but I suddenly sighed that the current society seems to be on the ground and underground, and the asymmetry of information has handed the dominant person the scepter to control all things. I also deeply felt this when I wrote the after-view of "The Great Buddha Plus". Huang Qiwen used a wig to cover it up, the Great Buddha became a cloak of human sin, and the film's true color was lost. All of these are high-ranking cover up for profit.
This should be a movie full of political metaphors. In order to better understand the movie, I simply collected comments on the history of Yugoslavia and comments on Tito's personal life on the Internet before and after watching the movie. The answers on the Internet are not completely uniform. In particular, the evaluation of Tito even showed polarization. We can't find out the real story of Yugoslavia's history. Most of us can only get a glimpse of the truth through second-hand information, but what's the difference between this and implanting a chip into the human brain? Perhaps the absurd story depicted in "Underground" is the reality, or the fact has long been buried, and we will never know it again. As everyone often says, "History is written by the victors." It suddenly occurred to me that the reports on the Afghan civil war some time ago were more than similar to what people said about Yugoslavia. We are immersed in the bipolar assessment of the Taliban regime, but few people care about the real Afghanistan. Sometimes I go to dinner with my parents with my parents, and I can often hear them talking about American politics in the US election. My uncle is a small clerk, and I can always see him forwarding an official account about American politics in his circle of friends, and then attaching more than ten lines of text copied from the article, and sometimes also Three or more exclamation marks are added at the end. Whether it is those elders or my little uncle, they have no desire to get to the bottom of these seemingly grand and serious politics and history and pursue the truth, but only use them as a talk after dinner. Just like our evaluation of Yugoslavia today, the truth cannot be known, and it may be hidden in an absurd and humorous film for people to imagine and entertain. In the future, how future generations will write us from a historical perspective, we have no way of knowing, but perhaps some real stories will be written in "unofficial history" and will exist in future gossip and entertainment.
Although I felt false and absurd in this movie, I also felt the warmth between people. Marco and the people in the basement, especially Xiao Hei, are not only deceived and exploited, but also have emotions. cherish each other. In the movie, there are many scenes where Xiao Hei, Marco and Natalia meet their heads and revel together, and even Marco will go to his knees because he is ashamed of Xiao Hei and married Natalia. Shooting, perhaps this behavior is difficult to explain with normal logic, but it just shows that Xiao Hei is not a tool that Mark can use. But it is these three people who are affectionate and entangled with each other, but in the end they end up hurting each other. Xiao Hei and his wife and children are also separated by heaven and man. This is the impulse brought by the fanaticism of the social group, and it is also the moral degeneration after the greed for profit. . Perhaps, if there were no such worldly disputes, their lives would be like those in the utopia far away from the mainland, where they would be happy and laugh.
I like Sony the orangutan in the movie very much. It has emotions like a human, can observe and hug its owner tightly, but it cannot express emotions like a human. Orangutans can be said to be the predecessor of human evolution and the primitive state of human beings. When society develops intrigue and interests calculations, this human nature is lost.
After I finished writing the film review, I suddenly felt a huge sense of powerlessness. Under the emptiness of existence, we reveled and used absurd ways to dissolve meaninglessness, but these actions made us kill each other. Utopia is very difficult to achieve.
