At first, I was afraid to watch this movie, thinking it was a ghost movie. As a result, this time I watched one or two episodes in one go, and it was absolutely amazing!
I think the reason for "absolute" is not to criticize the background setting of this movie. This design, which caused the almost extinction of human beings on earth because of the strong sound sensitivity of alien creatures, must be full of loopholes. Moreover, the film did not spend too much time and plot to pave the way for the cause and process of this silent world. It took a few minutes at the beginning of the film to let the audience know through the newspaper, TV and other pictures that appeared in the scene layout. What the earth looks like now.
But the tension created by the film's use of a single factor of "sound", the coherence of the plots of one or two films, and the heightened emotional settings of the characters are very advanced.
The slogan of the movie is, "As soon as they hear you, they will hunt you down." So the whole movie is really quiet. To be so nervous that any sound made by any item in the movie is already terrifyingly nervous!
I think the core positive energy of this movie comes from the strong desire for life and the belief in human reproduction no matter what human beings encounter. This is shown most vividly in the first two episodes.
I think that if the first part is that parents protect their children, then the second to the last biochemistry is that children also protect their mothers! In the face of survival, we must learn to grow up and protect the people around us. The movie is really empathetic when it comes to love.
What impressed me the most was the two plot settings. The first is the first one, Emily will silently give birth to a newborn when the monster is approaching. This plot simply brings the level of tension to the commanding heights! ! ! It is very painful to have a baby, and you have to hold back your voice, because once the monster hears the sound, it will lose two lives. How strong is the perseverance to survive to be able to give birth silently. The second plot is the end of the second part. In two different spaces and the same time period, the two children of this family, a man and a woman, took up the weapons in their hands for the first time and dealt with the monsters that threatened the safety of their family members. shot! This lens operation and emotional sublimation are too overbearing! Seeing the blood boil.
So, I think the biggest emotion that these two films gave me is that I thought I was just watching a thriller, but I didn't expect it to be based on the theme of human beings' strong and persevering life extension. It's really great!
