Projection of Little People's Lives

Marjane tried to return to a certain point of origin, constantly finding herself in the loss of herself, only the love of her family has been accompanied. Although it is the life of a small person, every aspect reflects the society and culture she lives in. Forrest Gump projected a piece of American history onto Forrest Gump, and Persepolis projected a piece of Iranian history onto Marjane, but more real.
I like the details revealed in this film, and use some small fragments and pictures to prompt or hint, like the pictures in TV or movies.

Persepolis quotes

  • Marjane as a teenager: Promise you won't ask me any questions.

  • Marjane's grandmother: [watering flowers] Ha. Serves them right. Why you practically snipped off their little thingies. Will you please take off that god-awful veil? It makes me claustrophobic.

Marjane as a teenager: [takes off her veil] I'm so used to it, I forget I'm wearing it.
