Between breaths and breaths, love makes miracles happen.

According to the introduction, there is a bed scene, and the result is really a "bed scene" throughout the whole process.

Because I saw a familiar actor, never let me walk for a breath, from organ donors to high-level paralysis, Andrew Garfield's performance space is getting smaller and smaller, which does not affect his acting skills at all.

One breath and one breath is an adaptation of a true story. A living man became paralyzed because of polio, and he lost consciousness below his neck. He was desperate for death and lived a miraculous life with the company of his wife. From the hospital to the Wheelchair, from driving to flying, his wife accompanies him and relives his life. As they say, each other is the meaning of his life. It was only after I really watched this film that I understood the true meaning of husband and wife, that is, they will always be with you regardless of birth, age, illness or death.

There is a clip in it that particularly touched me. Robin had a premonition that his physical condition was dying. He would hold a farewell ceremony to let his friends say goodbye one by one. Even in the face of death, he was good-natured and had no sadness at all. I was also sad that his two old friends hid behind a tree and secretly wiped their tears after singing for fun. Sometimes what you are afraid of is not death, but the pain caused by your own death to those around you.

Robin has single-handedly changed doctors and the public's perception of paralyzed people. Paralyzed people also have the right to live like a "human", to hold parties, to travel, to have sex, not just to live a breath.

I have to say that watching this movie at a time when the epidemic is so severe is a great comfort. No matter what kind of life script you are facing, a positive attitude will make things less bad, because you can't change your destiny and circumstances, but you can change yourself.

Another point of this movie is very consistent with my outlook on life. I really should strive for what I want, so that I won’t have too many regrets in my life.

Breathe quotes

  • German Receptionist: [seeing Robin being wheeled into the hotel in his wheelchair] I think he should be in hospital. No?

Bloggs Blacker: You're quite right. No.

  • Dr. Clement Aitken: May I begin by noting an interesting fact? At this conference on managing the lives of the severely disabled there are no disabled people present.

    [general laughter]

Conference Chairman: Dr Aitken, forgive me, but the severely disabled are on life-support machines. So how could they be present?

    [loud laughter in the room]

Dr. Clement Aitken: Um... well, allow me to introduce... um... Mr Robin Cavendish.
