Today, let's talk about the American drama "Rick and Morty Season 3".

The title is Rick and Morty Season 3 (2017).

After two years, "Rick and Morty Season 3" finally premiered on April 1, 2017. Interestingly, the writers and directors have not released the news of the show before the broadcast.

It wasn't until April Fool's Day, April 1, that Dan Harmon tweeted about the release, and said viewers could watch it online. A lot of people just took this as an April Fool's joke and didn't expect it to be released.

This season's launch was also part of an April Fool's joke, and "Rick and Morty Season 3" initially appeared on TV guides and schedules under a different show name, making it even more confusing.

It is worth noting that Dan Harmon got divorced during this period and his mentality changed. The ending was originally a hugging couple, but now it's a lonely man lying on the sofa drinking.

Let's continue to talk about each episode of Easter eggs.

S3E1

The title of this episode "The Rickshank Rickdemption" is a tribute to "The Shawshank Redemption" (The Shawshank Redemption, 1994).

It's also a story about a prisoner planning a prison break.

The episode follows some of Jon Hamm's episodes from "Black Mirror: White Christmas" (2014).

When Jerry takes the spaceship home, the spaceship in the background of the sky is from Futurama (1999).

While Jerry was in the office, a Gromflomite shouted, "He who controls the pants controls the galaxy."

This is a tribute to Frank Herbert's Dune series, in which the phrase "He who controls the spice controls the galaxy" is often used.

When Summer and Morty arrive at Rick's Base Camp, two Mortys in the background pay homage to Mabel and Diper from the animated series Gravity Falls (2012).

This is the second time Justin Roiland has paid tribute to his friend Alex Hirsch.

In Rick's fictional process of inventing the teleporter gun as a young man, the garage and the car he drives are all tributes to "Breing Bad."

The episode also mentions the limited-edition Szechuan sauce that McDonald's launched to promote "Mulan". The sauce has become an internet legend, and many people have been petitioning for its return since the episode aired.

McDonald's chef Mike Haracz tweeted: "I'll see what I can do."

Jerry's uniform is a nod to Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), but with a few additions.

In the final easter egg of the episode, Birdman is recreated as the "Phoenix Person", echoing the bloody wedding at the end of the second season.

S3E2

The episode's title "Rickmancing the Stone" is a reference to the movie Romancing the Stone (1984).

The overall setting and characters of this episode are a tribute to George Miller's "Mad Max" (1979).

Morty's "listening" provocation during his big kill in "Blood Dome," a pose often used in performances by professional wrestler Hulk Hogan.

Buckethead wears a "Big Johnson" shirt, a fashion item from the 1990s.

This episode is also the second time in late summer that I let go of my hair without a ponytail.

S3E3

The episode won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program.

The series aired in August 2017, and a tweet from writer Jessica Gao in March 2016 revealed that a draft script for the series was completed as early as February 26, 2016.

Pickle Rick shoots a laser beam through the heads of three enemies, a tribute to a shot from the movie Deadpool (2016).

When Rick told Jaguar why he was forced to leave his daughter, he said the universe was replaced by mutants, referring to the "Cronenberg World" ahead.

There used to be Earth, but it was mutated by Rick Play. Rick admits to "having an infinite timeline," so there's a good chance the Rick here isn't the original Rick.

At the end of the summer, what he said about taking drugs was ceramic glaze. Ceramic glazes are mainly composed of silica, alumina and metal oxides, and ceramic glaze sprays contain non-polar solvents, which give a strong, fleeting pleasure, just like paint spray paint. This is also reflected in "Shameless Family".

S3E4

In this episode of Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender, Rick watches the challenge countdown for the first time at 42 seconds.

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42.

Morty said he was exercising his right to be under his control once in every ten adventures.

That's the bet he and Rick made in the first season.

In order to show a drunk Rick, Justin Rowland was specially drunk in the recording studio. You could say he just wanted to drink...

Here the logo of the superhero organization is V, similar to the A of the Avengers logo is placed in reverse.

Rick's nickname in the superhero group is "Rick Sanchez: Tinkerer of Terror".

But Dan Harmon felt that this episode was the worst episode of the entire series.

S3E5

The opening scene where Rick drags Jerry naked from the bed is a tribute to the opening scene of the first episode of the first season of the show. That's what Rick did to Morty.

This episode also created several firsts in the series:

This is the first episode of Rick and Morty without foul language, the first time Jerry and Rick go on an adventure together.

The planet with the Immortality Shroud pays homage to Westworld theme parks, where visitors can also spend money on adventures without any danger.

S3E6

The 17th season of "Fortnite" is linked to "Rick and Morty", and the evil Rick and evil Morty of this episode are selected for the linked skin.

Rick and Morty become polite after the villainous attributes are removed. This is the first time Rick has apologized for burping himself.

This is also the second time that Rick has put on his seat belt. The last time was Rick, the pickled cucumber from S3E3. It can be seen that Rick in the situation state is still very safe.

At the end of the 19th century, the Moon Tower was a common sight. At that time, the gas lamp street lamps were not very bright, and the lighting was limited, while the carbon arc lamps were very bright, but mentioned that they were too large to be installed on the ground, and could only be installed very high. A single carbon arc tower can light up several blocks.

S3E7

The episode was originally titled "Citadel," which was later changed to "Ricklantis Mixup," in a timely manner to mislead viewers.

The story of this episode first imitates "Training Day" (Training Day, 2001), and the subplot imitates "Stand by Me" (Stand by Me, 1986).

As of March 13, 2021, it was the show's highest-rated episode at 9.8.

The Moorish Rick teacher at the school paid tribute to Professor Snape in Harry Potter.

The shot of Morty taking the purple fruit down is a tribute to a similar plot in Casino Royale (1966).

Rick D. Sanchez III pays tribute to Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Evil Morty uses a badge similar to the badge of the Mirror Universe Terran Empire in Star Trek - Mirror, Mirror, 1967 after appointing himself the ruler of Rick's Base Camp.

S3E8

The opening scene of the Tortoise of Truth pays homage to the ending of Labyrinth (1986).

The Tortoise of Truth said something to Morty that was invisible at first.

On playback it said: "Morty, I'm a Beatle! Paul is dead!" (Morty, I'm a Beatle! Paul is dead!)

The "Alien Command" tribute to female scientists is "Contact" (Contact, 1997).

Among them, Jodie Foster (Jodie Foster) plays female scientist Dr. Ellie Arroway (Dr Ellie Arroway).

Rick and Morty dodged and escaped from the protagonist of Neil Gaiman's novel "The Sandman."

Blue memory is Morty's fault and embarrassment;

Purple memory is a family embarrassment;

Red memory is Rick's embarrassment.

The how-to guide for scenario 4 reads:

1. Retrieve the Trank gun and Rick & Morty;

2. Take out 2 vials (blue and yellow) + ammonia salt;

3. Put the blue vial into the helmet and place it on Rick;

4. Wait 60 seconds, then take off the helmet;

5. Refill the yellow vial and place it on the Morty;

6. Wait 60 seconds, then take off the helmet;

7. Drag Rick and Morty to the TV sofa;

8. Turn on the TV set-top box;

9. Open the ammonia salt and shake it under the nose;

10. Rick and Morty leave the room awake.

S3E9

At the end of the episode, everyone wants to eat pizza, but the local pizzeria is closed.

Rick uses the teleporter to enter another universe where daylight saving time does not apply and get the pizza back.

Instead of spending time buying or waiting, he just brought back someone else's pizza that was on the counter.

The purpose of this play is to spend so much time putting a bridge to take pizza. The purpose is to show that there is no time travel in this play, only different universes.

The episode title "The ABCs of Beth" is a tribute to "26 Ways to Die" (The ABCs of Death, 2016)

Of all the stuff that Rick invented for Beth as a kid, only the rainbow-colored tape was relatively harmless and possibly something.

S3E10

The episode title "The Rickchurian Mortydate" is a tribute to "The Manchurian Candidate" (2004).

Rick and Morty are playing Minecraft in this episode.

"South Park did this four years ago," Rick said. Morty followed up with, "Wow! They run fast!" Rick replied, "Yeah, otherwise we'd be too slow."

This refers to the theme of an episode of Minecraft that aired the previous week on South Park, and Rick and Morty is not far behind.

When the U.S. government portal was activated in Brazil, a soldier ran over and lit the portal with a lighter. Like the Dark Portal in Minecraft that needs to be lit in order to use it.

The Chinese character on the back of Jerry's robe is "weak".

Maybe Lao Mei thinks this word is very suitable for making patterns, and it fits Jerry's character very well.

When the President of the United States was watching the small table, Niuzi did not make a code, and the audience could see it clearly.

This is the only scene in the show that escapes the censors, who may have been negligent.

During the 300-round fight between Rick and the President, Rick smashed the wall of the McKinley warehouse, which contained the bones of many dead prostitutes.

This echoes earlier, the president's reference to the real existence of the McKinley Hooker Dump.
