At the beginning, I rushed to see this movie with "The Love of Three People" and Blake, but the whole movie was far more significant than a romantic movie.
Everyone is not absolutely good or bad. If you want to see the real crooks, the real pros, just turn on the fucking TV. Chon is a decisive and cold-blooded killer, but is full of tenderness for Ophelia; Ben is a Buddhist savior who is keen on charity, and chooses to burn for self-protection. Killed the person he planted; John, a two-faced federal policeman, ironically became an American hero in the end; Elena, the legendary Mexican underworld queen, exposed in front of Ophelia the forbearance and toughness of a woman who inherited the underworld syndicate. Only Ophelia, who fell in love with two men at the same time, seemed to be an innocent existence, a beautiful savage.
The film has two endings. I personally think that the first one is perfect, and the second reversal ending seems optimistic, but it is actually superfluous.
