One thing to say, I personally don't think the production level of this film is that bad.
The problem may be mainly in the plot and deviation from the original.
As far as the completion of the film is concerned, the film as a whole is still very smooth. There is basically no part where you want people to fast-forward. It can be seen that Hollywood directors are very mature in the rhythm control of commercial films.
Part of the fight is a matter of opinion, I personally think it is the kind that is neither brilliant nor wrong. Some of the fights are too fragmented, and the limited few long takes are basically special effects.
The problem of deviating from the original work can actually be seen in connection with the plot. Because of the serious deviation from the plot, many parts are very unreasonable.
For example, let go of the enemy who killed his father, the leader will go into battle in person, the snake eye will go after Kenta, and so on.
In addition to the unreasonable places, the audience will have a lot of parts that they don't understand. This is especially reflected in the emotional changes of the characters, such as the origin of brotherhood, why Qiuzi helped the protagonist, and the reason why the Lanying family forgives the protagonist...
I also feel that many parts are unreasonable, but if it is reasonable, this movie will be made into a trilogy.
These problems will make the audience play during the viewing process, and occasionally have questions, but generally they will not affect the coherence of the plot, and they will not raise blood pressure like some movies (except fans).
In terms of performance, the white ghost played by Andrew can be said to be amazing, and his emotions are in place. Henry's snake eye is a bit hard to describe. The other parts are okay, but when he is nervous and serious, his expression looks like he is puzzled.
Ping Yueda is definitely a good actor, but when he plays the villain, his temperament is soft and hard, which makes it difficult to adapt.
The fault is Qiuzi, this 60-year-old aunt actually played Bump Man! The style of the photo is also very wild. I don't know what the director likes about her?
In general, the rhythm is OK as a whole (but there is a problem with the individual assignments), except for a few flaws in the plot, it's barely justified. As a popcorn movie, it's qualified, just watch it and it's over, you can't study it carefully.
Finally, let’s spit out the stalk of Hyundai’s entry into Japan. Hollywood's mouth is really poisonous!
