The story of the movie tells the story of two little sea monsters who secretly disguised and sneaked into human life because they wanted to ride a motorcycle. Under the premise of realizing the ideal of motorcycles, they met a human friend and participated in a competition.
Pixar produces cartoons that are suitable for adults as well, and the themes of the movies are well thought out. The theme of this film is not only about friendship but also about prejudice.
Human prejudice against sea monsters, sea monsters prejudice against humans, friends prejudice against friends.
There are a few points in the movie that I really liked.
Luca's curiosity about the sea world. We always listen to the many taboos that adults say that we cannot do. For example, in the past, adults would teach girls to be quiet and sweet and not to play around. But curiosity is innate, and when there is curiosity, we will explore. Although exploration will be accompanied by unknown adventures, it is precisely because of curiosity that human beings have developed step by step.
When Abeto turned into a sea monster was discovered, Luca's first reaction was to distance himself from him. This is very true, people have always subconsciously tend to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages. But afterward Luca reflected on himself and bravely apologized. Maybe we will hurt others unconsciously, but we only grow when we know that we face our problems. The next time you're faced with this choice, you'll know what you really care about.
Julia has participated in many competitions, lost and ridiculed but never gave up and believed she would win.
Finally, Luca went to study, and Abeto chose to stay in the city. Friends are unlikely to accompany you all the way through life, everyone has their own life. There are many forks, and the forks may not converge for a long time. But as long as they believe in each other's existence, they will meet a better person on the day they meet.
Overall, this is a movie that touched me a lot. Although the emotional resonance was not violent, the silent reminder healed me a lot.
