love is a horror movie

Polanski's erotic movie "Bitter Moon" expresses human love and desire with the madness on the verge of collapse.

What impressed me most was Mimi's dance in the film -

a provocative dance dedicated to Oscar, showing all kinds of styles.

The three dances in which he flirted with other men in front of Oscar was caused by jealousy, then turned into revenge, and finally both parties became accustomed to it.

At the end, there is a fiery dance with Fiona, the intimacy between women beyond desire, closer to the essence of love.

When human beings have not yet communicated through language, they must have used their bodies to express, and Mimi used this most primitive language to stimulate the instinctive desires of others.

The so-called love born of sex is a general pattern, and Oscar's story begins with this, but in the end, the so-called love destroys the two parties who are deeply involved in it.
It's not love, it's just desire.

When desire is, she is a goddess, an angel, full of mystery.

Desire subsided, she became a cook, a prison guard, a cage that trapped him, and even the love of fish and water was regarded as mating by him.
In fact, to return to the nature of animals, mating is to continue the race. It is truly sacred, but human beings have given them too many romantic meanings on top of animal instincts. Over time, the sacredness has changed.

When the burning desire is exhausted, when the tide recedes, how to face the tidal flat in front of you and how to clean up the emptiness is the key.

After the heartbreak, Mimi realizes that love is just a by-product of sex.
And Oscar also understands the source of the tragedy: we are too greedy, that's all.
It's a pity that they have gone too far on the road of crazy desire and have long been unable to turn back.

Thinking of Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution", I tried to use three progressive bed scenes to illustrate Wang Jiazhi's psychological transformation process.
In fact, her last betrayal was not because of the six-carat pigeon eggs, and it was definitely not because of sex.

On the other hand, in Zhang Ailing's "Lust, Caution", Wang Jiazhi's attitude towards selling her hue is only one sentence -
every time she is with Lao Yi, it is like taking a hot bath.
Therefore, the extreme arrangement of sex in the movie has nothing to do with the original book. She was really dazzled by the diamond light, so she exchanged her life for the cold stone.

Born by love, although desire still dominates, there is still a little tenderness of mutual sympathy.
Sex begets love, pardon my contempt, that is nonsense.

Bitter Moon quotes

  • Oscar: Nothing ever surpass the rapture of that first awakening. I might have been Adam with the taste of apple fresh in my mouth. I was looking at all the beauty in the world embodied in a single female form and I knew, with sudden blinding certainty, this was IT!

  • Oscar: It's no fun hurting someone who means nothing to you.
