I like this movie very much, it is so "beautiful" that the French really know how to make it. Taking World War I as an introduction, the director shot in black and white, and in several places it gradually changed from black and white to color, which represented a little bit of hope that gradually rose in the heart of the heroine. The sad and poignant background music strongly makes people feel the depression and pain of losing a lover.
War is a tool of politics and power. Human greed and selfish desire will only hurt both sides. Violence and killing bring more human tragedies. The loss of life is an unbearable heartbreak for thousands of families. From another angle, it can be said that it is also an anti-war film worth watching, which is thought-provoking and sober.
Anna, who lives seriously, is very beautiful. She falls into grief and predicament, and she also bravely strives for the possibility of happiness. Firm search, decent compromise, regrets, pains, and finally a cold heart, still so kind and sincere... I feel like I saw myself at certain moments. At the end of the film, she said that everything is too late, yes, one of the regrets in life is not being able to love. It would be nice if we met earlier. All those used to prove themselves are in vain. Most of the time in a person's life will always go hand in hand with regret, only lies and pain are real. But regret can also reshape our strong heart, because love is always only a part of life, the important thing is that we still have the power of love after going through hardships!
Ou Rong can always create such a courageous, free and confident female character! It's been a long time since I wrote a movie review, but what I want to write immediately after watching it is a good movie that I want to cherish forever.
