kafka

Some people say that this is a film with a director's dazzling skills, and I agree with it, it reminds me of Kafka who has been lingering for many years (Steven Soderbergh, 1991). No matter the structure of the plot, the animation sequences or the dark humor are all top-notch. Similarly, the tone of these two films is repressive, a kind of catharsis and helplessness for social dissatisfaction.
To be honest, I was there for Elisha Cuthbert, and I liked this Calgary beauty very much, but there are many shining places in this movie that overshadowed her, and her performance in it was quite satisfactory.
It has been unacceptable that most of the plot in the film is just the imagination of McDonald's. For this reason, I deliberately took a close look at the messy clutter at McDonnell's house at the end to see if there was a photo in the envelope. Unfortunately, I didn't see it. At the same time, I don't quite understand why his house is in such a mess, as if he had been mad, why would it be so if it wasn't stimulated by that photo?
It was difficult to give myself an explanation to convince myself of that statement.
McDonald's phantom begins with him bowing his head to pick up the bullet. Why did he start to fantasize, because he felt that the environment in which he worked made him very contradictory. Although there were many people he hated, there was also a girl he liked very much, but she didn't even know his name. So he fell in love with her in a vision. But even in his vision, not everything was so rosy. The imprint of reality on him causes him to doubt Vanessa's love for him in his visions. The situation took a nosedive, bad enough to break, halting his vision until he stepped on the bullet he dropped. When he raised the gun, he found that the one standing in front of the water pilot was not the vanessa in the illusion, but the pola. At this time, he felt that the premise, foundation, and possibility of his fantasy were completely lost. So desperately pointed the gun at himself.
ok, that's it.
ps His box is equipped with a sandwich and a detonating button. After he took it outside, he opened the box, and there were those two things in the original version. They didn't move, as if they were glued to the box.

Most of the time, it's too bland. The echo of some details and the combination of reality and reality are the highlights. The chest is obviously a stand-in.
