A movie like a dream.
There is no logical narrative from this to the other, but the amazing thing is that the audience can receive the emotions that the director wants to express.
In the farce-like school days, teenagers have fanatical fantasies about the group of "women", the inexplicable loneliness of beautiful people, the once rich girl eloped for love, and after marrying a wife, the romance is no longer, only chickens fly dogs every day. There are complex human relationships in which the villagers in the small town peep at each other and look after each other at the same time.
There is no clear story line, because life has no boundaries, so-called triggers and extensions between events are often quantum entanglement, rather than textbook-style transitions.
Oh by the way, there are many more shots, the beauty is so soul-stirring, over the vast fields, the huge sunset magic hour; under the golden light of the sunset, the silhouette of the singing boatman; the night is hazy, the smoke shrouded a small boat; dance to tune......
The composition is perfect, the light is perfect, the color is perfect, and the Italian aesthetic taste can stand the test of time. What is even more powerful is that the sophistication and human feelings that are constantly being rationalized and chaotic are also rubbed into this dream, and they are disconnected from reality.
A friend said that there is no protagonist in this film, and the protagonist is the town itself. The whole film is an essay dedicated to the town.
