In the middle of watching the movie, I sighed, is this really pure justice? Obviously it's a war...

I was thinking that if I do a remake in the future, Moses will stay in Egypt after Ramesses agrees to let Moses' people go.

But when I look back, I realize that the grandeur of mythology would be lost.

So I still remind myself repeatedly as I once did, not necessarily in any story, logic and rationality, or even complex connections and the depth of the film, are more important than the final look and feel.

In this case, you can't forget that your original intention for movies and works is not to compete with the audience in thinking, but to sincerely and delicately integrate your feelings into the composition and dynamics of colors and sounds. In the middle, it is communication and communication. The film does have such a refreshing charm.

The music, songs, and pictures are all nasty and critical, and the atmosphere is magnificent! But my lack of concern for religion is destined to be difficult to understand the religious intentions expressed in the film. It just doesn't feel like much imagination and impact.

Unparalleled epic masterpiece, a classic worthy of collection

The Prince of Egypt quotes

  • Jethro: [singing] A single thread in a tapestry, though its color brightly shine, can never see its purpose in the pattern of the grand design. And the stone that sits on the very top of the mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important than the stones that form the base? So how can you see what your life is worth, or where your value lies? You can never see through the eyes of man... You must look at your life, look at your life through Heaven's eyes!

  • Yocheved: [singing, while wrapping a blanket around her baby and hiding it in her arms] Yal-di ha-tor veh he ha-rach...

    [My good and tender son]

Yocheved: Al ti-ra, veh al tif-chad.

[Don't be frightened and don't be scared]

Yocheved: My son, I have nothing I can give, but this chance that you may live. I pray we'll meet again, if He will deliver us...

[Yocheved, Miriam and Aaron race to the river with the baby]

Chorus: Deliver us, hear our prayer, deliver us from despair, these years of slavery grow too cruel to stand! Deliver us, there's a land you promised us, deliver us out of bondage and deliver us to the promised land...

Yocheved: [placing the baby in the basket] Hush now, my baby. Be still, love, don't cry. Sleep as you're rocked by the stream. Sleep and remember my last lullaby, so I'll be with you when you dream. River, oh river, flow gently for me. Such precious cargo you bear. Do you know somewhere he can live free? River, deliver him there...
