Five inner scenes
There are a total of five inner scenes in the movie, all of which take place in the fountain in Regent's Park.
The Regent’s Park fountain is where the hostess wants to go after she arrives in London, and her mother also agreed to plan the future at the Regent’s Park fountain. However, because of the mother's accident, the mother and daughter did not realize this idea.
Thus, the Regent’s Park fountain has two meanings:
1. The agreement between the heroine and the mother.
2. Summarize the past and plan for the future.
Because of these two meanings, the narrative of the fountain in Regent's Park has an important function of showing the inner change of the heroine .
The first heart game: After the mother's death (time: 11:30)
The heroine's mentality: thinking that she killed her mother, regretting the past, and confused about the future.
Heroine status: 50% Estella, 50% Kuila
Inner scene of the second scene: get a job related to fashion (time: 20:00)
The heroine's mentality: The heroine promised her mother that she would be low-key and hardworking, and the heroine began to lean towards Estella.
Heroine status: 51% Estella, 49% Kuila
The third heart game: Become a female BOSS assistant (time: 39:30)
The heroine's mentality: The heroine has achieved her ideals and comforted her mother. The heroine has completely abandoned Kuila.
Heroine status: 100% Estella, 0% Kuila
The fourth heart game: Discovering the mother's necklace (Time: 42:30)
The heroine's mentality: The heroine begins to deny herself and wants to regain her mother's necklace, and Kuila awakens.
Female lead status: 49% Estella, 51% Kuila
The 5th inner drama: discovering my own life experience (time: 95:00)
The heroine's mentality: The heroine learns that she is the daughter of the female boss, and the female boss is going to kill her, completely abandoning Estella.
Heroine status: 0% Estella, 100% Kuila
Why should such an important inner drama be arranged in the fountain in Regent's Park?
Because, in Dodi Smith's original novel "101 Dalmatians", the home of the male and female protagonists live near Regent's Park.
Their Dalmatians are also called "dogs of Regent's Park " by other dogs .
Three salutes
The main tribute to "Kuira" is the 1961 cartoon "101 True Dogs", not the 1996 live-action film "101 Real Dogs". There should be more than three tributes, and everyone is welcome to add.
Tribute 1: The dog and the owner look alike.
At the beginning of the animation "101 Loyal Dogs", 5 pairs of owners and dogs that look alike are shown.
In the movie "Kuira", this is said through the mouth of Peng Peng, and two pairs of owners and dogs who look alike are shown.
Tribute 2: Songs composed by Roger
The animation "101 Loyal Dogs" Roger wrote the song "Cruella Devil".
In the movie "Cuira", Roger also created "Cruella Devil", and the melody of the song is the same as in the animation.
Tribute 3: The color of two dalmatian collars
In the animation "101 Loyal Dogs", the male dog Peng's collar is red, and the female dog Petty's collar is blue.
The same is true for movies.
Two blemishes
Flaw 1: Mom kills daughter
The fashion devil decided to kill her own daughter, which violated human nature. For this abnormal persona, the film does not explain enough.
When we watch "The Lion King", it is much more reasonable for Scar to kill Simba, because Scar is Simba's uncle and has a throne conflict with Simba.
So, is it possible to set the female boss as the stepmother of the heroine?
Can not.
If it is a stepmother, then the source of the heroine's fashion genes is unknown.
The original film dealt with it like this: after the heroine was born, the baron changed his will and gave all the property to the heroine (also mentioned in the movie), so there was a conflict with the female boss.
This setting is slightly better, but still not perfect. Why would the Baron do this low-level operation? Why is the female boss inhumane? Could there be another prequel of "Kuira" to explain this problem?
It's better to add that the female boss thinks that the black-and-white haired Kuila is a freak, which is an omen.
However, in any case, there is no perfect solution for a mother to kill a daughter.
Flaw 2: The heroine escapes
The heroine parachuted to escape in the final battle. It was physically reasonable, but the plot seemed abrupt.
When the heroine who can't drive can acquire the skydiving skills, it is better to bury a foreshadowing in front.
