"The whole world is fake, only I like you is true." All the ambiguity and tenderness are scratching in my heart, and the only time when the prince tells his sincerity is the only time he doesn't want to be a prince. Everyone cares about your status as a prince, only I hope we can talk about an ordinary person's love.
No one is absolutely good or bad, princes can be cowards, and villains have dilemmas. All the characters are polyhedrons, all for love, for the trust of others, for some illusory interests, and they are all just seventeen or eighteen-year-old teenagers. Will break down over little things, be embarrassed by the class gap, and be happy because of making good friends. In fact, very real, in fact very young.
Nordic is good at making youth films. The brushed eyes in the unpredictable lighting made me think of Skam. The soundtrack is also very Nordic, with proper singing and proper electronics.
The whole play is a butterfly effect from beginning to end, with one ring locked in another. The whole show ended in endless revolution, and the prince suddenly looked at the camera with a look that echoed the beginning of the first episode. But in the first episode, he didn't change his rhetoric, so in the end, whether he can stick to his heart depends only on personal understanding.
I looked and thought, what is beauty?
The society described in the play, if it is a Nordic society, I really think they have achieved "diversity". In Asian aesthetics, fat, black, and acne-prone girls have absolutely nothing to do with "beauty", but in Sweden, she is beautiful. In Asian aesthetics, Sarah can be "good" but not beautiful, but in Sweden, she is also beautiful.
Not to mention sexual orientation, the whole society is so inclusive that it does not take sexual orientation seriously. I was taken aback when Simon directly said he was gay, but his dad didn't react too much, just a hint of "Oops I forgot my son is gay" embarrassment. The sex tape leaked, and the mother only worried about whether her son was hurt or not. The crown prince said that no matter whether he is gay or straight, everyone has the right to choose their own life.
We still have a long way to go.
