After finishing this film in the summer of 2021, I have seen the TV version last year, and I have a very good impression of this work.
As early as after watching the TV version, I couldn't wait to read the manga, and the first impression of the Infinite Train was quite shocking. I saw other comments that the characters are very empty. In fact, the portrayal of characters in the comics can be said to be very three-dimensional, but many details are omitted in the movie, such as Yanzhu's life experience, his relationship with his father, and those who are controlled in the train. The inner struggle of the people, and the appearance of Shangxian San was not well explained. These are the depictions of each supporting role, and the movie is forced to omit these details due to the length, so it may not be very friendly to some pure movie audiences.
Speaking of the plot, Yan Zhu is the real protagonist in the Infinite Train chapter. I was really confused when I saw Yan Zhu's heroic sacrifice for the first time. The author has just established the image of Yan Zhu as a heroic hero. He is another important guide in Tanjiro's life. As a result, Kotanjiro felt the cruelty of the world in an instant. It can be said that the infinite train is another turning point in Tanjiro's growth.
The fly in the ointment is that in the chapters after the Blade of Ghost Slayer, almost every chapter will have a pillar sacrificed/crippled. Although I understand that the author is doing this to show the cruelty of killing ghosts, I will get tired of seeing more of the same routine, so The Yanzhu of the Infinite Train chapter can be said to be the most impressive and shocking to me. As far as the movie itself is concerned, the supporting roles are a bit small. Whether it is a decent or a villain, especially Yan Zhu, there is no sense of existence in the first half, and in the second half, it seems a little bit like a tool man, and the rhythm is not well controlled. But overall it's still pretty good, the production is very good, the fighting scenes are very enjoyable, the tension of the picture is not inferior to that of the comics, and the music and colors can be said to be very shocking. I hope that the Flower Street chapter, which will be broadcast in October, will go further!
Finally, Big Brother Yanzhu yyds! !
