Like Babbitt, they have their own dreams, and they also dream of college life. However, the strict systems and judgment standards have stopped them from the door of "regular" universities. The resentment, grievance, and even the unwillingness not to disappoint their parents, let them join SHIT, a virtual "university" that anyone can enter. What can "regular" universities do for us? Courses, facilities, and professors are nominally the three indispensable elements of a regular university. But what can be brought is only the future career needs and the foundation of survival. However, it is really not all what we are longing for.
Youth is for experience. The meaning is different for everyone. You can say that you like this kind of education model, and you like to go through four years of boring university academics just to have a good income job in the future, and you will have to make a lot of money and live a luxurious life in the future. You can also say that you don't like that. Even if you haven't been admitted to a regular university, you can still raise your arrogant head, do what you really love to do, and realize your dreams. This is just like SHIT's school philosophy, there is nothing impossible. I think nothing can stop you from becoming what you want to be and living the life you want. There is no definition of happiness in the world, and no one has drawn any boundaries for success or failure. Every person created by God is an individual, and they are all different. We don't have any right to criticize, to belittle anyone's thoughts and what they want to do, even most people think it is absurd.
When I saw the boy raising his hand from the crowd, I wanted to get Babbitt’s attention many times to let him speak. All I wanted to say was that this was the first time my parents said that I was proud of me. I really shed tears. This is also the first time SHIT makes me feel that it not only gives students a place to realize their dreams, but also gives them spiritual comfort and hope in despair. Seeing that Babbitt went to the real Harmon Academy to take lessons to learn about the school experience and education model for the sake of helping the students.
