I feel that the plot wants to give 4?, but the narrative technique, the characters + the shaping of each perspective + the breadth of the topics involved are invincible, and I like it!!!
First of all, the characters are really interesting.
Like Bradley Cory and Margret(?). And then, in my opinion, to put it quite simply, Alex is probably the "but you're not a normal woman" kind of woman. Although she may also suffer from the gender gap, she has enough privileges that she can ignore other women who are being played by power, because after all, she will not be "those women". However, when her rights were threatened, she would think "Ah, I'm so sick of you men taking control". ? Alison I think comfortable also enjoy doing the so-called "women under the eyes of men", and then hannah's choice makes me think "ah, how else can she do it?" I feel like Chip is an ordinary person. Mitch?? Fred???. (and btw Yanko is a live example of a male victim who was affected, I think it's rare to see this perspective so I like it!!
And then there are, two things on my mind. The so-called unspoken beauty vs clarity, I actually think sure makes some sense. But it is true that many times words cannot be spoken, so I think whether it is romantic or not is very unimportant here.
The second thing I really don't really want to understand. How to define the boundary between women's ability to make their own decisions and sufficient protection from power abuse? Who is qualified to decide these? It's all so subjective. Maybe only the feelings of the parties involved..? But what if it is really affected by power dynamics? And will time affect the feelings of the parties? how about public opinion? Can't figure it out.
Looking forward to the second season! !
