The scenes of Cleopatra are extremely grand, and they are all shot in real location.

As a product of the Hollywood blockbuster trend in the 1950s and 1960s, the shooting process of "Cleopatra" can be described as extremely luxurious. Since there was no advanced computer digital technology at that time, and the producers had to pursue the most realistic effects, the result was a large-scale set construction. For example, the famous scene in the film, the city entrance ceremony of Cleopatra's visit to Rome, the scene is majestic, the streets and city gates are built with real building materials, so that some people say that the "Cleopatra" crew intends to rebuild a Roman city.

However, input and output are not always proportional. "Cleopatra" became the most loss-making film in film history, and its failure also planted the seeds for Fox's final bankruptcy. Of course, some people also benefited from it. The two leading actors of the film, Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor and British movie star Richard Burton, did a fake act during the filming process and performed a lingering love story. And this was hyped up by the media at the time.

"Cleopatra" is one of the biggest and most miserable costume productions in the history of Hollywood movies. From the current point of view, it is difficult for us to believe that the sung classic film "Cleopatra" turned out to be the box office poison of the year. But the film has fulfilled Richard. Burton and Elizabeth. Taylor's romance of the century, but the 20th Century Fox company that made the film almost went bankrupt. However, "Cleopatra" does reproduce a turbulent history in ancient Roman times with astonishing vigor, directed by Joseph. L. Mankiewicz's ability to control the big scene is still not easy. The film describes the ambitious Egyptian queen Cleopatra who married Caesar of the Roman Empire for political purposes. Later, she had a stormy love with the Roman general Mark Antony. The depiction of this triangular relationship is relatively in-depth due to the showy external landscape, but the several battles in the film and the scenes of the Queen entering the city are breathtaking.
