I want to spit out which great god translated the bloody catastrophe. It is a bit difficult to translate such an earthy title for such a novel movie. It is better to translate "Blood Red Sky" in English, or "Blood Sky" and "Blood Story", and follow the Japanese style of "The Shape of Water".
Closer to home, the film review begins:
It's Friday night and you want to see some decent movies but don't expect too much, and it turns out to be much better than expected.
Netflix is used to giving the green light to any movie, every idea, and Blood Red Sky comes up with something new, creative, compared to other vampire or zombie movies.
Storytelling: When a group of terrorists try to hijack an overnight transatlantic flight, a woman suffering from a mysterious illness is forced into action to use her evil powers to save her own son and passengers.
The beginning was okay: a plane was entering the airport, there were no rescue vehicles, just two police cars. You see a little boy getting out of the plane. And then the story begins.
If you watch the trailer, you know what's going on, at least for the first half hour, and then it surprises you until the end of the movie, where much of the plot is unpredictable. If you haven't seen the trailer, even better, just start the two-hour journey!
Many "critics" on the Internet said that the second half of the film was not as good as the first half, or even ruined the film in the second half. It is true that the rhythm of the second half is a bit weird, not the kind of getting better and better, but the climax of fragmentation. But I think this second half is the best, better than the first half. As someone who is looking for an exciting movie to pass the time on a boring vacation, the second half of the movie did not skimp on my needs. Thrills, action scenes and twists and turns followed almost nonstop, especially the vampire spree in the last half hour that caught my eye.
The actor's styling and makeup are very stunning, and the acting skills are also very burdensome, much better than the zombie actors I have seen in zombie movies, especially the heroine.
Horror and gory scenes are also done appropriately without feeling gross.
In terms of character creation, the heroine is undoubtedly the focus of the whole film. The actors contributed tense acting skills, her interaction with children, and her struggles with past memories are all impressive. The movie is showing her memory in a continuous process, but the memory is not complete. Without the part of her seeking treatment and suppressing the virus, it would be better if more background stories of the protagonist could be told.
The heroine's son, like every horror movie with children, children always do all kinds of stupid things to cause trouble for adults, you may hate him after watching the movie. His performances and conversations don't look like a horror movie, but like a Disney children's movie. While he is a key character (probably the most critical) driving the plot, his actions are not commendable. The only reason you can forgive him is that he is the character who proactively solves the problem every time he gets into trouble and gets into trouble from beginning to end.
Movies have many obvious flaws, characters, plot, pacing, and you can look for the flaws of an evening and write a thousand-word review to attack it, or you can just as well and selectively ignore some of the movie's flaws as I do. Flaws, enjoy this movie with an entertainer's mindset, it won't let you down.
