But I am very happy to see this documentary. I have two experiences. I write it here as a support.
1. In the process of watching the film, I feel that music is almost an art form closest to the soul.
2. Good music is a way of life.
Talking about the way of life is not to sanctify music, but to say that good music is the presentation of people's way of life. Sometimes it's also a tool for people to make a living, you can sing a few songs and eat a few bites, like a lot of black blues singers. But sometimes, music is not very reliable. There are many possibilities to support a singer, but she must be a more fun way of making a living than picking cotton and shining shoes.
Sometimes she is something more complicated than a means of making a living. People die without means of livelihood, but not without music. So the old people in the film are living a healthy life, although some of them have to go out to clean their shoes every day, presumably to support their families, and there are also pianists who haven't touched the piano for 10 years.
But you can see that although they no longer sing as a band, the music has never been far from them, because once they open their mouths, once they pluck the strings, once they open their stiff fingers to touch the keys...the soul of music Already possessed, they have become another high-spirited one, richer and colorful than the original one.
Together, the sounds of different instruments came and went, the quiet singers sang freely, and the cheerful drums... It seems that the front of me is no longer a group of wrinkled old people...
