Poetic and aesthetic lens design

After reading the evaluation of the four live-action versions of "Rurouni Kenshin", we can see that the lens design of the first film is far more beautiful than the other films, and it is very poetic.

For example, the chaotic and dignified battlefield at the beginning, the deserted tones, the swirling fine snow, contrasted with the dark red blood, giving people a strong visual impact. It is obviously the advent of a new era, but when Jian Xin stands in the sea of corpses and sighs, it gives people a sense of grief.

Then analyze the second impressive scene, which is the scene of Saitoichi and Kenshin fighting in the rain. It is also a dark and cold tone, the muddy ground, coupled with the cold rain, expresses the inner struggle and pain of the protagonist. The fight scenes are also well designed.

My favorite scenes are two in Kenshin's memories: one is the assassination at night, the moonlight is hazy and the cherry blossoms are splendid at night. On such a quiet spring night, there is a dark tide of assassination. Cherry blossoms flutter in the air, accompanied by the waving of swords, like a symbol of life, very Zen.

The second is the scene where the fiancee of the person who was killed by Jianxin, Xuedaiba, claimed the body the next day. Jianxin stood outside the crowd holding an umbrella and watched coldly as the cold rain fell along the umbrella. Even without any words, the character's emotions were Rendered extremely well.

The last thing worth mentioning is the duel between "Dao Dao Zhai", the flying sparks, the fierce battle, the angry Kenshin, needless to say.

Kaoru Kamiya: KENSHIN, DON'T! Don't become a manslayer again... Please don't kill him... Kenshin... For those who died by your blade... And for everyone whose life you have saved... Please don't kill him... A sword that doesn't kill... A sword that can protect... For this new age of peace... Isn't that what you fought for?

  • [Kaoru thinks Kenshin has left, then he appears with groceries]

    Kaoru Kamiya: Welcome home, Kenshin.
