I like the natural sadness of the little protagonist

The 2005 remake of Dickens's famous film adaptation is not bad.

I read the children's version of the novel when I was in the third grade of elementary school. This is probably the first foreign literary masterpiece I read. Its theme is relatively simple, and I can't remember the plot. Another book by Chang and Dickens bookconfused.

The film rewrites the story of Oliver's fall into a den of thieves. The handsome and lovely Oliver always has a sad face on his face, this little actor was well chosen. They are both bad guys, but there are differences between bad boys and villains. Old man Fagin, Dodger the smart guy, and Nancy weren't bad enough, so Bill was a villain. Fagin and Dodger, Nancy is a tragic ending, only Oliver got a happy life.

The plot looks old-fashioned enough today, but just because it looks old-fashioned today shows how many people have copied this work since its birth in the 19th century.

After the industrial revolution, London seemed to be rich, and how much filth and evil was implied in it. The endless material desires caused by economic development may be unavoidable in every country. How should laws and morals deal with it?

Saw it many years ago. Later, I was excited to buy the original English book. Haven't flipped yet.

  • Nicky: There's two of yer! Who's he?

    Artful Dodger: New pal.

    Nicky: Where's he from?

    Artful Dodger: Greenland.
