Every story is an interweaving of magic and reality, obsession and transformation, ebb and flow, like a dream. The first story is about a mother's obsession with her son, sacrificing her husband to eat the heart of a sea beast to get her son, and doing everything possible to kill her son's "twin brother" to monopolize her son. She did not understand the cycle of cause and effect, and did not understand "Every desire, every action corresponds to another", so in the end she died of her own obsession and greed. The second story is the old woman queen. Although the movie focuses on describing the old woman and queen who is rejuvenated, the center of the story is the queen's skinning sister. The queen told her that her face was obtained by skinning, so the sister gave everything to find one. People peel for themselves, well, the final result can be imagined. The vanity and ruthlessness of the elder sister and the greed and absurdity of the younger sister are the deepest human nature. In the end, the elder sister failed to keep her face, and it was a dream. The third story is about the princess' bloody marriage. The innocent princess, who was full of longing for marriage, was married by her father to a savage in the mountains, and finally took her husband with him. The head returns to the throne. It is a process of transformation. I feel that in this isolated marriage process, the princess has realized the king's strategy, dormancy and silence, the weakest eyes, and the sharpest knife. What do these three stories tell us? Probably don't force everything, and be less delusional. Reasonable demands are also possible, but relying on external things is not enough, and the ultimate way out is to rely on yourself.
The length of the movie does not allow every story to be portrayed comprehensively. Some clips are indeed strong narratives. The theme of the dark fairy tale is very good, and every story has to be expressed. I hope there will be better related works in the future.
