Hollywood youth magic movie "The Holy Grail: The City of Bones" is being released in full in the mainland. The film is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name. It celebrates the new year with the adventure story of an ordinary girl transforming into a shadow hunter against evil forces. The big screen has created a wave of youth fantasy. I have always been interested in fantasy movies and I watched it in the theater last night (2014.1.4). After watching the film, I personally feel that the film has the following characteristics:
First, the story of the girl’s youth growth is more inspirational: the film tells the story of the high school girl Claire (Lily Collins)’s mother who is strangely missing, Claire In the process of investigating the truth, I discovered that I turned out to be a shadow hunter of half-human, half-angel blood, shouldering the important task of protecting the shadow world and the peace of the human world. The shadow world surrounded by demons, wizards, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural creatures welcomes Claire. She and the young shadow hunters Jace (Jamie Campbell Ball) and Isabella ( Jemima West) and Eric (Kevin Siggs) find the ancient holy grail about the future of Clay’s mother, and work together to protect the holy grail from the bad guys. In the process of rescuing his mother and fighting the devil, the young Claire not only has to learn to control his powerful energy, but also to fight his inner fear. In the end, she exerted her superpower and courage, and proved herself to be a powerful new fighting force against dangerous enemies with practical actions.

The originally beautiful scenery and the rendering of magic have become more magical and dreamy, making this angel's love beautiful and moving.
Fourth, the multi-element mix makes people feel familiar: The film mixes elements commonly used in Hollywood movies such as demons, wizards, vampires, and werewolves together, making the audience feel deja vu during the filming process, which is easily reminiscent of "Twilight". "City of the City", "Buffy the Vampire", "Harry Potter", "Evil Force" and other films. Perhaps the head of the studio thinks that the audience's brains are not good enough. The target audience of any movie about girls and werewolves, vampires, and demons entangled must be the same fixed group of people. I personally think that although the mixed elements are beneficial to meet the needs of audiences at different levels, this actually greatly reduces the "uniqueness" and "freshness" of the film and loses its characteristics. This may be the reason why the audience after watching the film sighed "not as good as they expected"?
