Cheesy

A typical comedy in the 1980s feels more funny than "People on the Road". Although most of the bridge sections are very old-fashioned, and some sections are a bit humorous, they can still bring a kind of warmth and charm that is unique to the end of the 1980s. I heard that the original film was nearly three hours away, and John Hughes cut a lot of clips.

Most smiley stalks are easy to get, but the film is hardly known in China. John Hughes's other movies are more popular. It may be that there are more culture gaps and American humor in "Flying Train", and many viewers can't get it. As a person who has lived in the United States for a few years, I can only laugh at some of the stalks inside. Americans are notoriously low in laughter, and may not be so funny to Asian audiences (American audiences laugh when they see some very mentally handicapped and nonsensical).

There are no shortcomings in the choreography, typical 80s style, freeze frame ending and the like. It is worth mentioning that Seth McFarlane often pays tribute to John Hughes' movies on Family Guy and Teddy Bear.

It's a pity that John Candy, a fat man, died young, otherwise he could make a fortune in the comedy world.

The soundtrack is a major feature of John Hughes' movies, and they are all very interesting.

Similar to American New Year films, it is actually quite warm in winter.

In the first half of the comedy, the ending is tragic, and the ending is Hollywood. But this is what the audience expected. John Hughes did send us a good script.

It's much better than the domestically produced remake, and after the end, there is still the second boss who is still studying the advertisement.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles quotes

  • Neal: Well, let me just close this conversation, saying you are a unique individual.

Del: What is unique, uh...? Latin for "asshole?"

  • Neal: [on tequila and Doritos] What do you think? You think this is a good combination?

    Del: No, probably not.
