After watching the content of the two seasons in two days, I feel a little strange. When I first started watching it, I found that all the leading actors were not in line with my taste; even after watching it, all that was left in my mind was a love triangle made by a few little hairy children, but when I put myself in my shoes, the show seemed to send out a sigh of relief. The aura includes the whole person. That world is unfamiliar yet familiar to us; hopeful yet fearful. You can disregard and despise their actions, but you have to secretly admire their courage. When facing life and reality, they are always so real and not pretentious.
For the first season, I didn't like the whole thing. It was just the episode where CHRIS' mother left. The vitality is highly recommended.
I also liked the second episode of the first season very much. The inner world of the strange girl CASSIE is so simple, her love is so direct and frank, but after the insight, her indulgence and escape make people sigh.
The cutest episode of the first season is the trip to Russia, which can be seen as a movie. It is very comedic and is a rare style in the film.
The overall quality of the second season is high, but the last few episodes are a bit procrastinated. TONY changed from domineering to low-pitched through a car crash, which is a very important turning point and sublimation of the film. Life has its ups and downs, thirty years of Hedong and thirty Hexi, and a small accident alone shows it most vividly, far higher than the level of screenwriters in similar "crash" accidents.
The two episodes of MAXXIE (the first and second episodes of the second season) are very good-looking and make up for the shortcomings of the first season. At the same time, there are also auxiliary plots such as "Voyeur Girl", which have great plot tension. It's just that the "equally divided" feature of the play gave up the opportunity to describe it in depth again, so that the play always stayed at a certain stage and couldn't go deeper.
The plot line between TONY and MITCHELLE, I think is super boring; but the interaction between TONY and his sister EFFY is very interesting;
followed by SID and CASSIE, their twists and turns are somewhat deliberately crafted results, it seems too "love triangle".
The plot lines of JAL and CHRIS are very interesting in the second season, which is a major highlight; ANWAR ,
this kid, has been written worse and worse by the screenwriter, and the plot with the voyeur girl can basically be regarded as boring;
On the other hand, there is "Journey to the Sea" in the second season, which is also a good episode (if not the two at the end~~~).
Anyway, watching this drama, you can't expect those little children to be as pure as angels. Their tolerance for sex and drugs is absolutely jaw-dropping; but so what, in the mutual puddle of mutual warmth, seeking true affection, their love—or at least pure.
