If the demon in the trailer cast a spell on Warren,
The second half of the film is completely understood as the priest's wicked daughter and the demon possessing the wicked woman are acting separately,
It can even be said that in the second half of the film, with the evil girl advancing the process of casting the spell, the connection between the evil girl and the devil is strengthened.
The devil wants to break free from the evil girl's control and is half-forcing the evil girl to do various things, including killing her priest father.
Pushing forward according to this logic, the entire summoning and spellcasting behavior of the villain is under the gradual influence of the demon from weak to strong:
The wicked girl inexplicably summoned the demon, and the demon secretly influenced her to cast a spell to harm others.
If the crime is successful, the demon will not only get the soul of the cursed person, but also forcibly occupy the body of the evil girl.
The whole The Devil Made Me Do It story is not limited to the fried eggs that Ani was instructed to commit suicide,
Rather, the whole story is The Devil Made Do It from beginning to end.
This seems to be more in line with the theme of The Devil Made Me Do It.
If it develops according to the idea of the brain hole, then as long as the Warrens succeed in exorcism, the evil girl can still be redeemed.
Even through the evil girl's dark physique and the psychology of not wanting to owe the Warren couple after being rescued, she can take the initiative to reveal some information about the demons in the lower world.
So that the Warrens can discover a certain pattern of time/place/object of demons doing evil/reveal some kind of destiny in the subsequent Soul Conjuring series,
Develop and expand the Conjuring Universe. (This paragraph seems to be too far...?)
These assumptions are not necessarily true, and are only for entertainment discussion after watching the movie.
