To suitors

This is a hodgepodge of materials and arguments about the Kennedy assassination that shocked the world on November 22, 1963. Most of the time, we are likely to be confused by these slightly procrastinated rhythms, various informative materials and extensive dialogues, and we are tossed in front of all kinds of evidence and speculation that may be questionable. Our worldviews are challenged; our judgments are dubious, and that's the beauty of this film—it seeks truth, not truth, but emotion.

The climax of the film is the high-spirited confrontation and agitation of prosecutor Jim in court at the end. It is not only the climax of the movie's plot, but also the climax of the audience's repressed emotions (the climax of the audience's emotions mainly has two points: one is that the audience is The catharsis of fatigue brought about by the repeated bombardment of information; on the other hand, the explosion after the inner emotional appeal is resonated). From this film, we feel the difficulty and deep frustration on the road to the pursuit of truth, but more of it is the persistent pursuit of truth, complete answers, and high-level meanings under the flickering light of our ideals.

So, this is a film dedicated to suitors.

To all those who are struggling in the struggle.

The assassination of Kennedy became an unsolved case in American history. The film re-examined that period of history. Whether the killer was an ordinary person or the entire huge political conspiracy, truth and illusion were gradually revealed in the investigation.

How much do we know about JFK and their family's story. There is always a rise in conspiracy theories behind politics. History is just the prelude, and this film is dedicated to all young people who pursue the truth. Kevin Costner's final court submission was a classic of classics and was worth the three-and-a-half hour wait.

JFK quotes

  • Man at Firing Range: [Approaches Lee Harvey Oswald after Lee shoots at his target] I didn't pay two bits for a target just to have someone else shoot at it!

Oswald Imposter: Hey, I'm sorry buddy- I thought I was, uh, shooting at that son-of-a-bitch Kennedy.

    [Chuckles]

  • Jim Garrison: I don't, I can't... I can't believe they killed him because he wanted to change things. In our time. In our country.

X: Well they've been doing it all through history. Kings are killed, Mr. Garrison, politics is power, nothing more! Oh, don't take my word for it, don't believe me. Do your own work, your own thinking.

Jim Garrison: I can't. The size of this is... beyond me. Testify?

    X: Me?

    Jim Garrison: Testify.

X: Ha ha. No chance in hell. No, I'd be arrested and gagged, maybe sent to an institution, maybe worse, you too. Now I can give you the background, but you have to find the foreground, the little things. Keep digging. Remember, you're the only person to bring a trial in the murder of John Kennedy. That's important, it's historic.

    Jim Garrison: I haven't yet. I don't have much of a case.

X: You don't have a choice anymore. You've become a significant threat to the national security structure. They would have killed you already but you got a lot of light on you. Instead they're trying to destroy your credibility. They already have in many circles in this town. Be honest, your only chance is to come up with a case. Something, anything. Make arrests, stir the shit storm, hope to reach a point of critical mass that'll start a chain reaction of people coming forward, then the government will crack. Remember, fundamentally, people are suckers for the truth - and the truth is on your side, Bubba. I just hope you get a break.
