It's a relatively simple story, and in general it's a story of how women living at the bottom struggle. There are too many unfortunate people in this world, and there are too many people like her.
It can't be said to be depressing, but it doesn't seem to have the kind of strong power that Alan guided me, it is a kind of plain power.
Rosetta's mother is an alcoholic, and her living conditions are so bad that she can't find a job, but she has to make ends meet. She met love, met friendship, but betrayed that emotion for a living. When her escaped drunk mother came back, her seemingly improved life fell into despair again. She tried to kill herself with gas, but her survival instinct made her choose to survive.
"You are Rosetta, I am Rosetta", Alan told me, this sentence means that although Rosetta's situation is very difficult, her soul cannot be reduced to what she hates, this " Rosetta" is who she wants to be.
At this moment, I seem to understand the meaning of this line. Alan said that Rosetta is a person with strong subjectivity. He did not give up in such a difficult environment, and still tried to survive, so "we" should work hard to face it. The pressure of reality, not being overwhelmed by reality, because there is such a person, there are thousands of such women struggling.

One of my favorite parts of the whole film at the end is when Rosetta and her male friend are sitting at his house for dinner, and then the boy plays his own drum song and teaches Rosetta to dance. I feel like that moment, or that moment, does fall in love with that boy. It's as if the vitality has a slightly different color. What was unexpected was that in the end Rosetta reported him for stealing the waffles, and got a job for it. Why would she do this, because she was desperate, because life had given her no choice.
I’ve watched too many commercial films and a lot of literary films, but this kind of documentary-like slowly narrated film really doesn’t involve much. At first glance, it’s a bit bland, but after careful reading, it’s quite aftertaste. .
