Film criticism is a very subjective thing. Everyone has the right to applaud and criticize. I am not the kind of person who automatically thinks about how good and perfect he is when he sees him with a score of 9. Thank you.
Last time I posted a film review saying that I couldn't watch it because of the routine. Although some words were sharp, I couldn't commit an unknown creature to come over and step on a disgusting person, right? I said that + the premise of discarding after watching 4 episodes is that I have watched the same type of TV series, such as Detective Outsiders, Stranger Things, etc. I also scored high marks on those TV series, but now this one is played according to this routine again. I'm really tired of watching it, it's really a bit of a routine, don't think that high-quality American dramas don't have mutual reference and drama modelization, especially the similarities with outsiders are so many that I frequently dance dramas, this is the reason to watch See clearly, if you don't agree, just swipe away or communicate politely, don't come up and mock me for being an advanced artist, okay?
The reason why you say that there are too many similarities with The Outsider, you will know after watching the two (but the Outsider later thinks that this one is not as good as this one, which is too ridiculous)
First of all, the two protagonists are police officers, the protagonist of True Detective is also a police officer, and Stranger Things also has the main role of a police officer, and they are all capable police officers. Both of them have sons who died young, the kind of white-haired people who send black-haired people, and the strange policeman's daughter also died young. The police can't raise children, right? And they don't tell you directly, hide in the supporting characters' lines, etc. You'll understand in about two episodes.
Then it leads to unhappy marriage. The male protagonist of the outsider is more indifferent to his wife. This one is simply divorced, and because of this incident, the protagonist is frowning from beginning to end, and has smoking and drinking problems. The most speechless is mare When I woke up in the morning and saw my son’s hallucination, the outsider’s male protagonist also felt his son’s hallucination when he was sleeping (I thought my son was alive at the time and scared me
Then the murder case, the deceased are all teenagers and children, and they all happen in a series of two or three pieces, and then the protagonist looks for clues from the connection. The place that is similar to the sharp weapon except the age of the deceased is that there is an unsolved case before the story begins. The protagonists come and go again.
The occurrence of the case naturally involves family problems, and the stage of the story is all in a small town in the United States. This is the point where the three billboards are strange and so on. If one person dies, the whole town will be a sensation, and then everyone will be confused with each other. The kind that is very, very familiar, the screenwriter will definitely make a fuss about this messy relationship, and given the old American ethos, there will definitely be marches and protests or even retaliation when this happens, complaining that the police are incapable of attacking the protagonist. These elements are also present.
Secondly, there are three details: 1. The male protagonist of the outsider arrests the suspect at the baseball stadium. Arresting the suspect in public in such a densely networked area will be degrading. Legally speaking, it violates human dignity on the one hand, and affects the jury on the other hand. The evaluation of the police further affects the success rate of the prosecution, so his companion told him not to listen in public, and he was very angry and insisted on arresting. reject it
2 The two protagonists are obviously fortunate that the boss persuaded him to suspend his job to see a psychiatrist, and not to follow up the case, but the protagonists quietly followed up, and both the protagonists also went to see a psychiatrist. Benjamin sat on the sofa with a pen and kept provoking the protagonist, and then the protagonist didn't want to tell/lie at first, and then he would frequently quarrel with the psychiatrist or recall the past and insert flashbacks, Big Little Lies and the recent Falcon and Winter Soldiers are two more typical
3 The protagonists all have a foreign aid partner. The outsider is a super-powerful black girl. This is a police officer in Ligou County, and both of them are unhappy. Almost everyone has an unsatisfactory family, so it's called mare of single teenage parent town)
In the end, the ending echoes the previous text and reconciles with myself. Although I didn’t see the ending, but watching the group discussion, mare seems to have walked out of the grief of losing a child. It’s strange for outsiders. At the finale, I saw some children’s memories flash back and let go of the past. Re-living, I have guessed this without watching it.
The reason why I compare him to those movies is because they have similar styles, small town in America, serial murders and disappearances, somber style, silent lines, slow pace, big-name actors playing the lead roles , Matthew McConaughey AA and Kate in this, the sad protagonist always loves to shake his head slightly when talking, and then i was like....just.....like....u know.... ..lots of pauses and then friends and relatives always let it go /its not ur fault /forgive urself ok ? the main characters answer just....leave me alone/give me some space, or i just cant!!!!! beacuse i am his mother/father yelled a sentence to end the quarrel and then sat down to hold his forehead and shed tears. After watching more, you will find that he can guess what lines he spit in the next second.
And in fact, there is still a certain distance from the suspense in the final analysis. The essence should be a plot category, a family ethics drama. At first, I thought that only Netflix is making this kind of protagonist more and more frequently. When the protagonist comes up and doesn’t tell you the reason, everyone has so much sadness in the past. .
