1. Most of the whole play uses depth of field lenses, and it is a large depth of field. The focal length is extremely long. The large depth of field especially tests the skills of directors and actors. It's rare to see such comfortable depth-of-field shots after Citizen Kane and Elegy. 2. And the screen of this play is relatively full, but it does not feel boring and complicated at all. The mise-en-scene is extremely fluid, and each focus has its own story. The choice of seats is particularly unique. A focal point in each lens can be found in a position in another lens. 3. Dilute the narrative and enhance the audio-visual language. 4. As an important director of the Left Bank in the New Wave period, Jacques Tati's film production cycle is longer than that of Jean Renoir, Robert Bresson and others. His works have similarities with Bresson in the era of the author and director, and they have won the welcome by depicting the low-level signified with high-level signifiers. I haven't seen a movie that makes my scalp tingle for a long time.
