"Kijiro's Summer": Childhood, Childlike, Childlike

The primary school student Masao has never seen his mother, and Kijiro took him to find his mother during the summer vacation. Kikujiro is a second-rate, who only cares about his own pleasure along the way, but at the same time he is also taking care of Masao in his own unique way. So Masao's summer vacation, Kikujiro's summer, turned into a warm, touching and hilarious road adventure.
"Summer of Kikujiro" is Kitano's most special film, his label-like blood and violence disappeared without a trace. The whole movie is full of innocence, innocence and fun. In the bright and cheerful colors of summer, the world seems to be back to what we saw when we opened our eyes for the first time after we were born, so fresh and delightful.
Innocent: Everyone can be a child. In the second half of the film, the scene when several adults play with the male who failed to find his mother shows this most clearly. You can't help laughing at the skinny guy who played the eight-legged octopus, the fat guy who pretended to be a big fish, the good guy who turned into an Indian, and the alien who suddenly fell from the sky. Among them, the most childish is of course that Kikujiro, who is not afraid of the sky and the earth, and scolds assholes when he sees people. His daddy is permeated with a kind of unpolished childishness. It's his natural bluntness and clumsiness, coupled with a bit of simplicity and a rather naive business style, that together make Kijiro this strange, cute, and unforgettable guy.
Childlike innocence: The sea in summer is the best place for us to store our childlike innocence, and the faint melancholy brewing under the blue sea is the first sadness we encounter when we grow up. Just like Zheng Nan finally found his mother's home, but from a distance he saw that his mother had become someone else's mother. So he turned around and walked away, where else could he go? Of course the seaside. And Kijiro's mother is living in a nursing home by the sea. Two people who lack maternal love can only comfort each other. So Kikujiro would hand over the "angel wind chimes" he grabbed to Masao, comforting Masao and saying, "When you feel sad or encounter difficulties, the angel will come to help you." Wasn't this comfort given to him?
Childlike interest: There are many interesting things that only children can discover in "Kiujiro's Summer". To give two examples, the first example is that there was a shot in the movie that simulates dragonfly compound eyes to see the world, so the scene in front of them becomes layer upon layer; the second example is even more amazing, this time the shot simulates not only living things eyes. Kijiro and Masao got out of the car to say goodbye. The camera shot was the reflection of the two people in the steel tire. As the wheel turned, the two figures turned quickly. According to our common sense of life, no matter how the wheel turns, the figure in it will not turn. How can such a counterintuitive lens be explained? In fact, this is the scene of Kitano Takeshi simulating the wheel to see the world. If the wheel has eyes, isn't the world in its eyes just spinning in circles? Such a strange imagination really belongs only to children, or a person who really has a childlike innocence.
