Blazing Saddles (1974)
Blazing Saddles (1974) This
film is a historical box office chart in North America The 49th.
The film tells the story of a black man and a white man confronting evil forces. The actor is a black man, and he works with other blacks and some Chinese to repair the railway. The contractor is a businessman who only cares about his own interests. He only cares about his own property, not the life and death of the workers, so the male protagonist stuns the contractor. At this time, quicksand was encountered on the railway construction route, and the boss behind the contractor—the state prosecutor—decided to occupy the land in the small town on the new route. The state prosecutor sent people to attack the town, and the protagonist who angered the contractor and was about to be executed was sent to the town to be the sheriff. In doing so, the state prosecutor satisfied the request of the townspeople and allowed the townspeople to kill the male protagonist. The protagonist will be shot to death by the townsfolk as soon as he arrives in the town. The protagonist uses his wisdom to escape to the police station. In the police station, the male protagonist meets the white man who is now an alcoholic and once a sharpshooter. After that, the actor used a strategy to defeat the murder sent by the state prosecutor and win the trust of the townspeople. The state prosecutor saw that all his strategies had failed, so he had to let the popular singer to seduce the actor, but the singer was also conquered by the actor that night. The state attorney had to recruit a large number of villains to attack the town. At this time, the actor led the townspeople and the black workers to build a fake city to deceive the villains. However, these villains soon learned that this was a falsehood, and then started a melee with the townsfolk. The battle fought from the movie to the off-set, out of the Warner set, to the movie theater where the film was being shown. In the end, the male protagonist and the white man won, and the two left the town and left in a sedan.
This is an unreasonable movie, because I laughed at the synopsis I wrote just now. What a mess of movies this is! There are also crossing, there are gagging nonsense, there are singing and dancing, and the western shootout, etc. This is a messy patchwork movie! To put it nicely, this is a mashup of nonsense comedy, but the ugly one is a scam film made up of money, just like the current "Scream" series. So, I don’t feel much about this film, just one word: bad!
Where is the movie so bad? Rotten in the story brain damage, rotten in the exaggerated performance of the characters, rotten in the meaningless theme, rotten in the terrible "travel" at the end of the film, and so on. From a modern point of view, such movies have been completely eliminated by the society, because the jokes, performances, and video styles are no longer what the audience likes. Perhaps the laughter in the dialogue and the show-faced actors in the period films released in the movie are selling points that can win the audience's approval, but who will understand and remember after forty years? The most prominent in this regard should be the set where the ending actors broke into it. It should be another well-known movie released in the same period, but who else knows now? People who understand and have seen are either dead now, or are they in their 70s or 80s. In short, the film's departure from the times is its biggest shortcoming, so it is destined not to become a classic. And through this film, I also recognize a reality: comedy movies must be watched in time, otherwise, I won’t be able to understand the laughter.
The actors in this film are not well-known now, and there is no Chinese information available on the Internet, so I can't comment on it either. But I can guess that the two male protagonists are probably famous comedians or TV series stars in the early 1970s. The villain is also a very famous supporting role. Only in this way can the film have such a high box office. The only actress in the film is Madeline Kahn, who looks average and sounds like she is really German, but her acting skills are really ordinary. Others don't talk about it, they all make soy sauce.
in conclusion. This is a very boring comedy, not much to watch. But its box office is so high is really amazing, I can only understand that Americans have poor taste, and they are willing to buy tickets for any bad movie.
