Although this ancient Wulitou doesn't have the more developed funny technology now, it is full of various classic spoof elements handed down, and more importantly, it has taboos that Hollywood does not dare to have now. The United States has lost this cultural confidence. The 1980s is indeed the best era, as can be seen from the pioneer works of the 70s.
Unfortunately, because it is in the early stage of the same type of film, from the current perspective, it is often dull. You have to wait patiently for the high-energy bridge to appear. It is better to watch the earlier classic comedies such as "Escape from the Tiger's Mouth" or Chaplin's movies. The comedy style is indeed more able to withstand the polishing of time.
