After watching "A Brief History of American Race" a while ago and then watching this movie, I can feel the feelings of any generation of immigrants even more. Looking for a new dawn in a foreign country with hope and hardships, but the hero and heroine fall into the same contradiction about "escape" from their hometown to find the United States. The small climax in the film that I feel is calm implies that people can't escape everything in life. Wherever they fled, the "oasis" found by my grandmother in the end gave the family new hope. Just like the characteristics of MINARI, it can grow no matter what the environment is.
