I saw the Tudor Dynasty many years ago, and I was very impressed by how persistent and ridiculous Henry VIII was for a male heir, and I was not impressed with other plots. Watching Wolf Hall this time, I feel that the protagonist's performance is naturally quite satisfactory, but the most impressive scene has nothing to do with the protagonist:
The first was Thomas More's statement when he knew that he was going to die. At that moment, I deeply realized the huge resistance faced by the British religious reform at that time, and my heart was greatly shaken. Changes in the realm of spiritual beliefs are so difficult and manifested in such tragic ways that it is heart-wrenching.
The second is the death of Anne Boleyn. I remember seeing Anne Boleyn being beheaded in the Tudor Dynasty, and I didn't feel much, but the scene in the Wolf Hall made me especially unbearable, and I could hardly look directly at it. The fresh life instantly disappeared, and the feeling in my heart is indescribable.
