We all need imperfections

Disney has returned to two-dimensional hand-drawn animation again, which impressed me a lot.

I used to think that Disney and Pixar teamed up, and when no new classic works were released, he would at least not release classic for a long time. When I watched the trailer, I looked forward to it. Disney is ready to go back to the old business and must be prepared and confident. As this film promotes:

the first black princess in Disney history-Tiana (Tiana)
Tiana is different from the previous princesses, she was not born for her, but later became a princess. I think this is the meaning of Disney's promotional slogan until I finally saw the film. She may not be the most beautiful princess, but she is indeed the hardest and serious one. I think she is more like a modern version of Cinderella at this point.

Born into a civilian family, under the influence of his father, he understood very early that he must be down-to-earth and rely on his own hands to win what he wants. The blueprint built with my father: owning a restaurant of his own. But people did not believe or even laughed at her dreams, and her father died with regret because of fatigue. Tiana still sticks to her dream, does a lot of work a day, does not know how to dance and sing, never participates in activities, and has no hobbies. Her heart is full of dreams. This is an image that is very close to the audience, and it is a role that everyone will recognize and resonate with.

I think maybe the death of her father made her work harder to realize her dream without being in the mood to care about other things. The witch said that each of her and the prince had to think about what to do when they became human, otherwise it would still be meaningless. And Tiana's trouble seems to be greater, and it is difficult for us to see the problem clearly. I have also been thinking about what it would be? What's wrong with working hard for your dreams?

She said: I know that I should work harder to realize my dream.

I like her look when she talks about her dreams. The kind of self-confidence and full of joy and hope, this state of existence is enviable. As the prince said, he liked the way she talked about her dreams. He is indeed willing to give up his wish in order to continue to see her like this. I used to think that ideals are all about life. I don’t believe in those vain loves and even don’t want to spend time thinking about them, but when Tiana will be like his father’s life, the last picture touches me: Tiana sitting On his father's shoulders, his father held her mother in his hands, and the family was smiling happily. Yes, he hasn't gotten the restaurant for a lifetime, but his dream may have been quietly replaced. Maybe he understands that what he wants more, or what he is more worthy of cherishment may be the smiles of his daughter and wife and the happiness of the family together. This is happiness within reach. This reminds me of the bridge section in "Flying House", the girl wrote thank you at the end of the album. Thank you boy for bringing her a wonderful life, that is the best journey. The so-called Neverland or Dreamland has always been in our hearts.

The protagonist of this film is not perfect, and his personality is different from the past. Ariel, the mermaid princess, is brave and strong, Snow White is kind and beautiful, Cinderella seems to be beautiful and kind, plus some miserable life experience that is particularly pitiful, Jasmine is smart and generous, Bell has the best appearance and adventurous spirit... It seems that they are all born to be perfect. Of people, they have no shortcomings. It turns out that they are from the fairy tale world.

But Little Tiana said at the beginning: I would never kiss a frog! no way! She worked hard and cheerful but ignored the happiness around her, clinging to the unfulfilled ideal and refused to relax at all. In an ordinary worker's family, she is destined to be unable to fantasize like her friends all day long. Prince Marvin is also different from the general flawless role of this kind. He does have a distinguished background and handsome appearance, but he yearns for freedom to the point of no sense of responsibility. He is pampered and even indulges in pleasure, and was deprived of the right to inherit the throne. It is because they are not perfect that we can be more truly moved by them.

It is worth mentioning the little firefly Raymond. He is optimistic, kind and helpful. The moment when the fireflies light up the entire forest is really beautiful, and the night seems to be covered with gold, beautiful. The Evangeline he likes is not a firefly, but the brightest star in the night that countless little girls looked at her and prayed that she would be careful. Diana pierced Lei's illusion in a state of upset, telling him that it was just a star, a sphere hundreds of millions of light years away from the earth. But Ray didn't believe it and didn't blame Tiana, he cherished his most sincere love for Evangeline to his death. Although he is small, he is very brave. He is a cute little person, clean and simple. After his death, he could finally turn into a bright and dazzling star, guarding Evangeline's side as he wished. I sincerely thank you for the call. Only here can Ray get such a good ending and the moment when the fantasy can truly be realized! His death is not a tragedy but a fulfillment, a happy rebirth.

Disney has had too many subversions here, and it has given me a lot of unexpected touches and surprises.

Tiana finally understood that besides dreams, there are more to cherish, because no matter whether the dream is realized or not, he will be by your side. The most important thing is that no matter whether the dream is realized or not, he will be happy. As she did: My dream won't be completed without you. And the arrogant and wayward prince has learned the good quality of self-reliance from the beloved girl. The real princess also waited for the little prince (I guess the future king), although she will have to wait for many years. Although she is stupid but kind and simple, she sincerely hopes Tiana will be happy.

We are not perfect, but it does not mean that we have to make a wish to Evangeline and keep saying please, please. Life is not a fairy tale, and it is impossible for us to become a frog princess and meet a prince like Tiana. But her dedication to dreams and hard work are worthy of recognition and learning. Opportunities are for those who are prepared. In fact, the call is also for those who are prepared. Although I don't know if there will be a call coming, but if you have ever made a wish to the stars, then you have hoped. Since I sincerely prayed, then take the courage to realize it. Maybe the result is not satisfactory, but we will be able to enjoy it, and life will not leave any regrets.

We can be Tiana without a prince.

The Princess and the Frog quotes

  • [to his voodoo "friends", which resemble masks]

Dr. Facilier: Friends, I know I'm in hock to y'all pretty deep already, but it seems our little froggy prince lost his way. And I need your generous assistance getting him back.

    [the heads glare]

Dr. Facilier: [laughs nervously] I hear you. Now, what's in it for you? Well, as soon as I dispose of "Big Daddy" La Bouff, then I'm gonna run this town. I'll have the entire city of New Orleans in the palm of my hand. And you'll have all the wayward souls your dark little hearts desire. You all love that, don't you? So, we got ourselves a deal?

[the heads contemplate for a moment, then release shadow spirits into the room]

Dr. Facilier: [laughs] NOW we're cookin'! We're gonna find ourselves a frog. Search everywhere, the bayou, the quarter... bring him to me alive. I need his heart pumping... for now.

  • Prince Naveen: Lawrence! Glad to see you're finally getting into the music. Do you get my joke? Because your head is, it's in the tuba.
